Iran is in fact the reason why Biden sent 2 carriers to Eastern Med. And his visit yesterday. The IDF can easily handle invasion of Gaza though it will be bloody. But if Iran directs Hezbollah to launch targeted rockets plus invasion then major risk of a wider war that draws in Iran and perhaps others.
The Mullahs cooked up the scheme over the past couple years, and essentially have put Israel into a very difficult spot with few good options. But they risk losing everything if they overplay their hand.

Either Evelyn Wood would be very proud of you or you must sit for very long periods of time. 11 hour read on Audible.

A narrator has to say every word. When you read, it is by sight without sounding words in your mind.
I guess when I have a good story, I can absorb it for hours on end.

Iranians have little clue they are one stupid missile volley, or one reckless intervention away from a devastating Western response.Seriously? VDH isn't keeping up.

I asked Google how long does it take to read Alas, Babylon?
The average reader will spend 5 hours and 52 minutes reading this book at 250 WPM (words per minute).

What if Iran detonates an atomic bomb this week—a small one about the size of the one in Hiroshima? Im sure they have the juice for one and Russia could supply the tech. It would change everything.

Quite honestly, I don’t care how fast you can read the book. What did you think of the book? I read it as a kid. It had a profound effect on me.

I have read it more than once. That is why I had the .pdf bookmarked. Partly because of that, I am one of the odd birds who think some humans will survive a nuclear holocaust.
Farnham's Freehold and Lucifer's Hammer are a couple of those other books that can make one think beyond a complacent lotus-eater lifestyle.

I believe EMP is real and that it will be as devastating as advertised. Yes, I believe we and the planet will survive just fine. We, living in the Northern Hemisphere, will be pretty well screwed though. The most frightening book I’ve ever read is One Second After.

I was an Air Force Tech Controller and retired from Verizon. I worked at the Southeast junction site where we had Hardened Telecom Equipment Cabinets for government network equipment. EMP is real alright.
