Donald Trump Shares Link Revealing Letitia James' Address While Raging Against Her
Yahoo News & Huffington Post ^ | 10/18/2023 | Ron Dicker

Posted on 10/18/2023 2:20:32 PM PDT by thegagline

Former President Donald Trump on Monday shared a link listing the home address of New York Attorney General Letitia James while accusing her of committing a “miscarriage of justice.”

Trump’s smearing of James, the prosecutor behind his ongoing financial fraud trial, is nothing new. But his Truth Social link to a Substack post by far-right journalist Laura Loomer reportedly might raise a few issues.

In an attempted gotcha piece on James’ purchase of a home in Brooklyn, New York, Loomer posted documents that list the property’s address, information that would normally be redacted to protect the subject. In June, James said she had received death threats as she pursued the case against Trump, currently the Republican presidential front-runner for 2024.

The Daily Beast suggested that by sharing Loomer’s piece, the quadruply indicted former president might be violating a gag order in the New York case ― not to be confused with the gag order he got slapped with for his federal election-conspiracy trial.

Judge Arthur Engoron specified that Trump was not to attack court staff after he mocked a photo of a law clerk with Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.). “While James is not a staffer, she is central to the indictment,” The Daily Beast notes.

The anti-Trump outlet Meidas Touch called attention to the apparent doxxing. The site called on Engoron “to expand his gag order to protect NY AG Letitia James.”

Doxxing, or the release of someone’s personal information with malicious intent, is generally not considered illegal if the information is publicly available, according to U.S. News & World Report. In this case, the information about James’ address could already be accessed by the public, independently of Loomer’s post.

So what? Everybody already knows where Trump lives. Why can’t we know where these people live?

And there is the bottom line...

But it doesn’t match the headline does it. And we know here on FR, only the headlines are read.

Another “take-a-way” that I will add to those you listed, is the legal community is totally fine with such a violation of Donald Trump’s First Amendment rights.

Notice how quiet the conservative and libertarian legal community have been regarding the constitutionality of that gag order? With the exception of only one or two law professors, I’ve noticed that they have ignored the issue altogether or else made a statement endorsing the Order based upon the “Trump exception” to all laws, precedents, and norms.

In the past, so many in the legal community would have been vocally outraged at the thought a defendant would be silenced in such a manner. Amicus briefs would be prepared in support of an appeal and public calls for others to sign on would be sent out. Opinion pieces would be on every news site condemning the judge’s action.

In this instance, we hear not a peep.

If it's okay for people to know the address and protest in front of a Supreme Court Justice's home, if it's okay to know the address and protest in front of the Senate Majority Leader's home, then it's okay to know the address and protest in front of the New York State Attorney General's home.

Doxxing, or the release of someone’s personal information with malicious intent, is generally not considered illegal if the information is publicly available,...

Could this whining be an attempt to distract from a scandal by Letitia James?

The real subject is alleged commitment of mortgage fraud, hiding dark money, and questionable obfuscation of financial records on Letitia's financial disclosure forms.

Source of information: Public Records.

This is nothing more than deflection by YouWho writers.

The real story is the 6 figure loan she got but didn’t report it.

Her address is on easily searchable websites. I found her home address and her husband's name and information in less than a minute with my most common tool.

The smart people get their personal information scrubbed from those websites.

She and her people are too stupid to understand these things.

Mouth-breather stupid. Double-digit IQ stupid.

Affirmative Action stupid.
