As Breitbart News has chronicled, about 34,000 auto workers across the United States are on strike against General Motors (GM), Ford, and Stellantis as they work to negotiate a new contract with higher wages to keep up with record inflation as well as commitments that their jobs will not be eliminated as a result of Biden’s EV mandates.
In a video message to United Auto Workers (UAW) members, Trump said he will repeal Biden’s EV mandates, which he says will eliminate their jobs within two years.
“I will repeal Joe Biden’s electric vehicle mandate and I will do everything in my power to achieve a drastic reduction in the cost of a new car. I will get the prices way down so that you can afford the lifestyle your family deserves,” Trump said:
If you’re a United Auto Worker, or an auto worker of any standard of any state, I don’t care, they’re going to destroy your business. Within two years, you’re not going to have a job. I’m going to bring back jobs. I’m going to bring back the manufacture of automobiles in our country. Millions and millions of automobiles are brought into our country every year. And we’re going to now make our own automobiles like we used to many years ago. [Emphasis added]

Trump also blasted Biden’s EV mandates for driving up car prices for working and middle class Americans.
It really comes down to this. Stay with Joe Biden and see your job disappear in two years and skyrocketing debt, or vote Trump and He will make you rich beyond your Wildest Dreams.
Most if not all of these UAW members voted for RATS. I have no sympathy for them. You reap what you sow.

Why shouldn’t they? After all, other than Trump, pretty much the whole GOP looked at them as subhuman white trash (even if a good percentage or then are not white).
The UAW is sitting around saying if you put a MSRP of 71K on a F150, before the bells and whistles, then you can pay us more. The UAW is also saying if the Fed Govt is going to give Ford Billions to manufacture electric vehicles, then they want those billions; the UAW is no different from car dealerships - if the USG gives you 8K back on your tax return they charge or the manufacturer charges 8K more for the vehicle.
Trump is correct - their jobs will gone in two years simply as a function of the economy losing steam, high interest rates, over priced vehicles, and the Union being greedy. Obama gutted the auto industry, gave the Unions 40% of the stock in order they could give kickbacks to the democrats, er ah fund pensions or whatever.
I don’t know if UAW deserves more with the economy on the skids. Ford should close the factory’s that the UAW is striking at, and build new facilities in different states, and offer the employees their jobs at the same pay scale if they relocate themselves.
China can produce an electric for 10K. If they can do that, the UAW can suck it up.
I watched a video where an auto industry expert said that there will only be Tesla and Toyota left as major automobile manufacturers in the future.
All of the others will not be able to compete and go out of business.
Toyota has partnered with a Chinese maker now. They are coming out with cars coming out of a two piece casting machine. This was the major breakthrough for Tesla. The UAW will not exist in twenty years.

Their jobs will be gone before that if they keep the strike going.
China can produce them cheaply, but can't sell them in the USA. They won't pass specs or crash-safety tests here in the USA. That's one reason why cars are expensive here, all the regulations drive up the costs. I suspect that Trump can roll back many regulations, while increasing tariffs on foreign made products. GM & Ford will then have to make parts here in the USA instead of making them in Asia, Canada and Mexico.

Well, to start with, I sure don’t an EV, & particularly one that could be produced in China for 10K. If Biden can screw up the auto industry here, I’m sure he can do a royal job of destroying any peace process in Israel. He seems to have the habit of making wrong decisions in whatever area of endeavor he is in. Not sure how many of his decisions are purely his, however. At any rate, we need some new, fresh blood in that department. If we want to see ruination of the USA, then all we need to do is to just keep going in the same direction we have been going since 2020.
