Good. But we'll see what comes next.

Yes. Lettuce see.
H*ll. I thought Paul Ryan (back in 2010) was a good choice.

Good, and he will be if they lock him in. Jordan or no one period. Keep hitting them with the vote over and over. The dems will bend if they want to get back to work any time soon.

Screaming all week about why we need a Speaker immediately, we'll soon find out how much the RINOs will abide a conservative speaker as they expose themselves.

Jordan is one of the few congressman who asks worthwhile questions of Democrats testifying in Congress. I hope he becomes speaker.
To: Tench_Coxe
That’s a huge improvement over the Boehner boy.
Wow.

The problem is that as Speaker he can’t do that.

I recall all the centrist cat calls on FR recently screaming like jihadists that we could end up with speaker jefferies. Well, if that were to be the case, it would only be because their side of the GOP caucus chose to show their true colors.
To the turncoat, FACTOR that into your liberal reasoning.

He didn’t become Speaker until 2015

Lots of Establishment RINOs voting for Scott
***************************************************
Establishment Pick To Torpedo Jim Jordan’s Bid For Speaker Is DC’s Top Stock Trader
However, many were far from impressed, alluding to the fact that Scott’s candidacy is not to lead the House, but to prevent Jordan from doing so. On top of this, others were quick to point out the stock trading “prowess” of Scott, who, according to portfolio data, was the top political trader in 2021, boasting a 780% profit on his FuelCell Energy, $FCEL, stocks.

But can he get 218 votes to be elected? No Dems will vote for him, so he needs all of those who voted for Scott (81) plus 13 more.

You can put whomever as Speaker and what comes next is likely more of the same. You still have the elephant in the room which is the herd of cats including many RINO felines. The dems have a distinct advantage in this regard.
If Jordan prevails on the floor and wonderful things come from his Speakership I would be delighted to be wrong!
