He criticized Israel for pointing out that their northern border was weak. Trump sid that was stupid because “Hezzbolah is smart”. They hear this and think its a good place to attack.

Trump did not attack Hezbollah. He recognized they were smart and thus more dangerous.
Trump did not attack Israel. He said Bibi had chickened out of the operation to eliminate Soleimani.
Former Rep. Liz Cheney is, like most of the time on just about every other subject even remotely related to Donald Trump, “out to lunch”, not even considering the context in which Trump was speaking. Trump calls Hezbollah “smart”, because they are very sage and cunning warriors, and are not to be underestimated in any way, shape, form, manner or fashion.
Which means that the US and Israel have to be just as sage and cunning, and maintain parity with Hezbollah on nasty surprises and stealthy countermeasures. Take the fight to them, make no mistake.
