Good question JP, why ARE you trying to insert Ukraine into this? The article clearly states that Hamas says it has been planning this for two years. That would be about half a year before Russia’s surprise invasion of Ukrain the end of February, 2022. An additional question is why did a Hamas delegation of high officials go to Moscow two weeks before this attack for official meetings if Russia had NOTHING to do with any of this?
