HOUSE FINISHES SECRET BALLET, SCALISE WINS (NEWSMAX)
Can't conservatives get a break - and get some leadership??
What promises did Scalise make? Continue giving money to YouCrane?
Meh. Business as usual I guess.
Oh God. I hope he doesn’t suck as bad as I expect.
with apologies to Timex:
“takes a shooting and keeps on cucking”
( hope I’m wrong )
This makes me assume Mitch McConnell was working behind the scenes to get his preference promoted. Quid pro quo, of some fashion. I’m disappointed. I thought we were on a roll to the next level up in partisan influence.
How ironic. After years of politely declining to run for a party leadership position, Jim Jordan does chose to go for it, only to be smacked back down by something that looks like a RINO.
...how is this an improvement over McCarthy? Aside from Gaetz and his personal gripes, who benefits by this?
This is a blow to Trump if you think about it. He endorsed Jordan.
They probably do wear tutus at home..................
From what I read Scalise voted for Ukraine money every single time.
We are all living in a play orchestrated by the deep state.
What did you think was going to happen?
What 8 or whatever it is Republicans colluded with democrats to remove the speaker, and you REALLY thought somehow some major conservative member was going to wind up speaker?
If you did, you really don’t understand politics at all.
8 people do not a majority make.... So you removed a uniparty guy, and got him replaced with another uniparty guy... way to go....
Now, Gaetz and his little group will be the target of the uniparty, and what will they have achieved for this? Nothing of consequence.
Cirucus clowns, the whole lot of them.
What did he win? A blank check.
can they fire him too?
I understand there is bad blood between Scalise and McCarthy.
Well enjoy what little time you have left as a majority.
Which tells us more about them......................

I figured it was going to be McCarthy again, and, in a way, I think I am right.
I believe that this still has to have a public vote by the entire house.
And Steve is fighting a blood cancer....multiple myeloma.
He never said what stage.
