Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Tuesday that the violence engulfing Israel and Gaza risked distracting international attention from the war in his own country.
"There is a risk that international attention will turn away from Ukraine, and that will have consequences", he said in an interview with the France 2 broadcaster.
The tragedies affecting his Ukraine and Israel "are different, but both are immense", he said.

With the outbreak of war in the Middle East, and our inability to fund 2 wars at once, let alone one war, Zelensky has been spinning of late seeing his gravy train here potentially coming to an end. A normal President would be pushing him to the negotiation table right now. We are going to need Russian crude on the global market once the Saudis have engineered the oil cartel to take theirs off the Western market like they did during the Yom Kippur war in 1973, especially when Biden has been choking off American production for the last 2 years. Unfortunately, we do not have a normal President. We have one who is afflicted with dementia.

70,000 dead plus hundreds of thousands wounded (not counting Russians). I'm no fan of Zelensky, and don't support foreign aid (to Ukraine or Israel), but in terms of sheer numbers, Ukraine has suffered far worse than has Israel so far.
Zelensky is sc*m, but let's not dismiss the suffering of the Ukrainian people.
