Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov emphasized on Monday that a two-state solution, aimed at facilitating peaceful coexistence between Israel and the Palestinians, remains the sole viable path once hostilities subside.
Lavrov conveyed this during a press conference held in Moscow, where he was joined by Ahmed Abul Gate, the head of the Arab League. Gate warned of potential future conflicts should Israel not reconsider its stance towards the Palestinians.
Notably, Beijing has also expressed its support for a two-state resolution. Earlier, a spokesperson from the Chinese Foreign Ministry, in response to inquiries about the Middle East situation, reaffirmed China's opposition to violence and attacks.
Wang Wenbin, the spokesperson, underscored, "The correct course of action is the pursuit of a two-state solution," while urging the international community to take decisive steps to de-escalate tensions.

The US does this with oil. Oh wait…
GTH Russia.
Right, like all that oil we got from Kuwait, Libya and Iraq. Oh wait, that would be “things that never happened for 1000 Alex.
My best friend for 42 years who was a British Commando there when the King David Hotel was blown up (he was a lot older than me), had some opinions on things.
I think even harsh critics of Zelenskyy (some of them known to defend Putin on certain questions) can see that Putin’s suggestion is nonsense.
When Trump said that, God allowed the election to be stolen from him.
U.S. President Donald Trump has endorsed a “contiguous,” independent Palestinian state with a capital in eastern Jerusalem, but he made the move contingent upon Palestinians accepting several moves seen by many as difficult, as he unveiled his much-anticipated Middle East peace plan.
A very bad idea, but one that sounds good on the surface.
It will actually happen; somehow. (the two-state ‘solution’)
You cannot peacefully coexist with a rabid dog that wants to rip you to pieces.
You need to kill it.
If you live in Gaza Strip, you are an Egyptian or Peninsular Arab.
If you live in the West Bank, you are Jordanian, Peninsular Arab, or Bedouin.
If you are in a refugee camp in Lebanon or Syria, you are Syrian or Anatolian Muslims (Turks).
Absolutely correct.
There are three entities.
One, Gaza is a warren of unneeded humanity incapable of existing in the world
Agreed.
It’s no where close to that description.
There are Jews in all of those places. There are Americans sprinkled in. Those in Anatolia were Greek, before Turks genocide and forced migration.
Bedouin (aka Saudi) are not your normal Muslim.
I have close friends in Cairo. I spent 7 years following the Syrian conflict. I had very close contacts in N. Syria. Kurds, Alivi, Syriac Christians, Egyptian (Egyptians are not Arabs, many are not Muslim).
I’m not taking anything from a textbook.
Russia can stop supporting Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran, and then maybe they get to make suggestions.
Russian “diplomacy” is saying one thing and doing another. Like advocating for “peace” in Israel while arming the Palestinian terrorists.
There’s only a one state solution, called “Israel.” The evil Islamic vermin occupying parts of Israel need to go home now, to their real homes, Jordan and Egypt.
What original, forward thinking! Wow! Two-state solution! Who would have imagined? Putin is a genius!/sarc
“Ask any Chechen Terrorist and see if they answer.”
You mean like the Chechen terrorists that Russia is employing to terrorize other nations now?
“Why is your Hamas killing Israelis?”
You’re the Russian apologist. Russian is Hamas’ overlord. It’s YOUR Hamas. You own this now.
