At least four U.S. citizens are believed to be among those killed in Israel during Saturday's Hamas attacks, senior U.S. officials told U.S. lawmakers during a Sunday night briefing.
According to several people familiar with the briefing, held by senior State Department and Defense officials, the total likely to rise in the coming days.
The White House confirmed "several" deaths of U.S. citizens earlier in the day, after U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the Biden administration was working overtime to verify U.S. casualties and hostages.

I'm hearing on the news since getting up that it is at least 9 and that an unknown number are being held hostage.
Today is a holiday, by tomorrow the country will have had the long weekend digesting the news of Americans killed, abused, and held hostage.
Give credit to Biden, he did finally speak up in defense of America, as have most or all of the candidates, though I question some of the statements. Biden did order the Ford to head towards Israel.
Anyway, what next? We need a declaration of war and direct action to protect and defend Americans.

If there is a time for a declaration of war, isn't it when Americans are killed, abused, and held hostage? Do we ignore, surrender, or leave it to others? Have we, as a nation, fallen to that low point, depending upon others for our own defense and honor?
No, declare war, own it, prosecute, finish it.
