According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA), from 2008 to September 19, 2023, the conflict has claimed the lives of 3,803 Palestinian civilians and 177 Israeli civilians. However, it should be noted that 2014 had been the most deadly year in that period. The year 2014 marked a grim milestone in the conflict, with a significant loss of civilian lives.

Before the recent outbreak of hostilities in Gaza, the world's outcry seemed far less audible when Palestinian civilians were the victims. This asymmetry casts doubts on whether our concerns are genuinely centered on safeguarding civilian lives universally or if our compassion is selectively allocated.

I can top that, just in the last year about 100,000 Americans have been poisoned by China and Mexico, while millions of illegals pour across the border and commit thousands of other murders every year. Yet, of all those publicly bemoaning the deaths in Israel, few if any of them have bothered to even mention that ongoing anti-American campaign being openly waged here in our own country.
Let’s start being more concerned about our own country, including our own borders and to hell with the borders of other countries on the other side of the world.
