Siding with Trump at that moment would have been an even worse disaster for Israel.

I really was disappointed with Netanyahu when he rushed to congratulate Biden. There was no need to be so eager to do that. Trump was very, very good for Israel and for the Middle East. Biden was not at all likely to be good. With the US election in some doubt, Bibi could have held back a little bit. But he rushed to express congratulations. And here we are.
You left out Muslims. Don’t forget the democrats and even pathetically stupid Republicans, have imported a radical Muslim constituency that hates Israel and America.

Netanyahu has been playing the American Right -- and, in particular, American Evangelicals -- for fools for years. There was nothing whatsoever "shocking" about what this savvy grifter was doing then.
Netanyahu must work with whomever the president is. It’s our job to make sure the right president is elected. He did not fail, we did.
You're right to identify Ukraine-Israel-Taiwan as a troika of nation-states that the US has no treaty obligations to defend, that we call "allies" who have never fought with us, and who are surrounded by or adjacent to much more powerful neighbors, but who seem to operate under the belief that the US cavalry is waiting right over the hill.
This is in no small part due to reckless adventurers in our government, but it's still foolish of them.
There is zero chance the US will fight over Taiwan or Israel. And a year from now, the Nuland-Blinken-Kagan-Vindman cabal will wish they never heard of Ukraine.
Ukraine will accommodate Russia. Taiwan will peacefully rejoin China. Israel wins every battle but is losing the war. Israel's tactical situation is still formidable but their strategic outlook is dismal. Fantasizing about Saudi Arabia to the rescue is just a sign of how bad their strategic situation really is.
Probably just trying to live up to the Great Commission.
