"Squad" House Democrats known for criticizing the state of Israel faced massive backlash from conservatives online over their milquetoast statements following Hamas's deadly surprise attack on Israel.
Several members of the informal progressive caucus published statements on Saturday condemning the violence and calling for the conflict to de-escalate.
Of the "Squad" members, Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., has been silent on the attack on Israel.

The Intel Agency leadership as well as the military have been prominent in the protests / Deep State Resistance against Netanyahu.
I suspect that it is less deliberate than they have fallen into the same internal politicization, promotion based on politics, and incompetence as the US military and Intel mobs.

They were having some kind of nudist shindig right next to the Gaza wall. Then came the attack - hysterical pictures of hundreds running for their lives au naturale.
Another batch was at the wall protesting Israel’s treatment of the Palestinians...they quickly learned that there might be a good reason for it, and likely wished it was built higher and stronger.
I know little about it...there are factions wishing to protect the Israeli judicary, their supreme court I remember reading.
If impending incidents were known or suspected, perhaps the sheer brutality of what was coming was misjudged. Instead of the turmoil in the Jewish state they expected, instead, they got what’s been referred to as “Isreal’s 9/11.”
