Slavery was finally outlawed in New York State in 1828.
It’s time to start taxing the NYC illegals on all the imputed income they are receiving: $3000 up front, $2100 monthly per child, phone, housing, transportation, etc to raise money for these reparations. Show them the free country they “escaped” to.

Bull; Thank you for this information! If anyone can prove they were a slave in the state of NY in 1828 I say give them their 40 acres and a mule! Else, the period to file a claim expired.
The law passed in the New York legislature in 1799 called for a gradual emancipation of slaves. The 1830 census recorded 75 slaves in the State. The 1840 census recorded zero slaves in New York State.
Black New Yorkers deserve reparations for slavery.
Better check with who sold them in the first place their own in Africa.
Not many countries that weren’t enslaved at some point blacks don’t own that gig.

There were BLACK slave owners in the Union States, as well as the white owners.
The Emancipation Proclamation only eliminated slavery in the Confederate States. That was done to shut down the financially profitable cotton and tobacco plantations of the South.
Did anyone mention her history? Her parents are immigrants from Haiti. Thus she has absolutely no historical ties to American slavery.
