The ridiculous price increase for the Surface Laptop Go 3, combined with the Chromebook Plus announcement, makes Microsoft look foolish.

Just because I use Windows doesn’t mean I would buy any of the other crappy Microsoft products. Apache open office works quite well.
The problem with Chromebooks is they aren’t real computers. They are more like giant cellphones. I bought one as my secondary, surfing in the evening computer because of the price. It has decent specs, but it’s OS is way too similar to my Android phone and not much like my Win 10 OS. I put it in my travel bag as my vacation computer and went out and bought another inexpensive Windows unit.
If you work on your computer or just want a familiar user-friendly OS stuck with Windows (or Apple if you’re one of those people. 🤣)
I have a surface go 3 tablet, I really do not like it.
I use my old surface Rt 2 more. even though it is annoying to because most websites will not work with the old IE which is not upgradable.
If Microsoft made F150s there would be no dashboard gauges. Just a general fault warning light.
I cannot imagine using anything other than a MacBook Pro.
If M$FT made F150s, in 11 and 1/2 mos it would start warning you to renew your license shut down weekly as mandatory updates are applied (for 30 mins) and jack things up without warning.
Wait, that’s likely coming for all EV’s eventually.
I only use Windows at work and for one program on my home computer I can’t use on Linux, and that is only used a few times a year.
Once my wife quits working (work requires Microsoft Windows and various software), I will switch all of our computers to Linux (I currently must stick w. Windows so I can do "tech support" for the wife).

My company uses the entire line of Surface products for years and they’re bulletproof. Well worth the premium.
Glad to hear that, because a couple days ago I bought a budget HP laptop with Windows 11 instead of a Chromebook. Hp 14-inch touchscreen laptop, with 8GB memory and 256GB storage, on sale at Costco for $250. I wanted a dedicated PC for use on my laser engraver and 3D printer, and the price was right. Seems to work good on surfing the 'net. And I can upgrade to 16GB memory for $18 (only 1 of 2 sockets used).
