Former President Donald Trump endorsed pro-life Republican Rep. Jim Jordan’s bid for Speaker of the House early on Friday.
“He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House, & has my Complete & Total Endorsement!” Trump posted.
“Just had a great conversation with President Trump about the Speaker’s race,” Congressman Troy Nehls posted on Twitter Thursday evening. “He is endorsing Jim Jordan, and I believe Congress should listen to the leader of our party. I fully support Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House.”
Jordan launched a campaign to become Speaker of the House just one day after Kevin McCarthy was ousted.
Jordan, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is a solid pro-life advocate who has spoken up about the weaponization of the Justice Department against pro-life Americans.
McCarthy announced he is not running again, which has set off a furious campaign to replace him. Importantly for Jordan is that he appears to have support from Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, who filed the motion to vacate the chair Monday night, which then picked up the support of Democrats and resulted in McCarthy losing his speakership.

Jordan has a 100% prolife voting record in Congress and recently castigated Democrats for supporting abortions up to birth and infanticide. He recalled former Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D-VA), who endorsed infanticide.
“We all know in 2019, then-Gov. Northam of the state of Virginia stated this: ‘The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,’” Jordan said, adding, “it is simple. Infants born alive following an abortion are kids, are children. All newborns deserve the same level of care.”
“Taking the life of unborn children right up to their birthday, and then as Gov. Northam has pointed out, even after that,” Jordan said, adding “we want to make sure that ‘even after that’ part never happens.”
Jordan recently sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray about a recently-leaked memo from the Bureau’s office in Richmond, Virginia, that linked “radical-traditionalist Catholics” with threats of domestic extremism.
The news came days after CatholicVote President Brian Burch sent a letter to Jordan asking him to further investigate the FBI over the “anti-Catholic” memo.
Chairman Jordan’s letter demanded answers about the FBI’s “targeting of a set of Catholic Americans for their religious beliefs,” Fox News reported:
“The Committee on the Judiciary is continuing to examine the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s handling of domestic violent extremism [DVE] investigations,” Jordan wrote. …Jordan said he and committee Republicans have written to the FBI “several times” over the last year about “startling allegations that the FBI is misusing DVE resources for apparent political purposes.”
Jordan’s letter was co-signed by House Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government Chairman Rep. Mike Johnson, R-LA.
In his previous testimony in July, Wray deployed a familiar Washington trick: He sought to put the issue to rest by claiming that there is an “ongoing investigation.” In this case, the phrase du jour is “internal review.” This is to say that the FBI is investigating itself.
“It was a single product by a single field office in Richmond,” Wray assured Jordan in his testimony before the House. However, Wray has blocked the House Judiciary Committee from interviewing the relevant agents in that field office in Virginia. Now that the unredacted memo shows the FBI operation against Catholics was larger than Wray claimed, we have a real scandal on our hands.
“Do you think priests should be informants inside the Church, Director?” Jordan asked Wray incredulously during that hearing. Jordan did not appear amused by Wray’s arrogant performance, nor was he reassured by Wray’s promise to investigate himself. The indefatigable Jim Jordan saw right through Wray’s obfuscation, and the evidence now proves that Jordan was correct in his skepticism of the FBI. Wray claimed to be “aghast” at the incident, yet given his eagerness to minimize and even mischaracterize what happened, he can hardly be considered a partner to the House Judiciary Committee in finding the truth.
#18 to add to that
I still wish President Trump was SOTH, but, I understand he's busy (understatement of the year) with the election, doing rallies, and dealing with Rat legal harassments on top of all that.
God Bless the man and his family.
Don’t forget MTG. She rammed McCarthy more than Trump.
+1
Jordan would be an upgrade over McCarthy - if this is the outcome, it’s a good one.
Do we get any promises from Jordan? That way we will know if he keeps promises.
To post this is sick, dishonest behavior. You completely ignore history except for what fits with the reality of the world you want.
The real core of this is Trump as a human being not fitting your ideals. Yeah mistakes? Trump has made his fair share. Human faults? He’s got those too. Donald J Trump is far from ideal, but he is not Uni Party. He is not owned by big money. And he doesnt count GOPe among his advisors despite his endorsment of McCarthy which in the end outed the man to the country on a very public stage for the Uni Party Rino he is. Pretty cunning move for Trump. Far from perfect though. There was only one man who walked this earth perfectly. And because of him, Trump is winning!
Good choice.
Hope Jordan can win
Well stated!
I would also add, Trump has been attacked like no other elected politician in modern history. His enemies are not limited to the democrats, but also consist of closeted swamp dwellers within the uniparty rino class. That alone gives me the trust that Trump is aligned with our values and would seek to bring our mutual enemies to justice. And to enact policies that the uniparty has objected to.
On the other hand Golden Eagel cannot say the same for his chosen candidate who has worked in unison with the uniparty and has been funded by the deepstate.
I’ll prefer to take my chances with Trump as CIC and Jordan as SOTH.
Calling me Hillary is sick, ma’am. I came here in the 1990’s to fight the Clintons, and have been a well known poster and conservative ever since. And the Trump of today is arguably further to the left than the Bill Clinton of the 90’s was, especially on issues like transgenderism. So I am going to point it out that Trump is/was big friends of the Clintons, heck they were all pals with Jeffery Epstein even. So no, I am not Hillary, and I will point out that hypocrisy every single time. Thanks.
There were not enough votes. There are 22 Republicans in Districts Biden won. You have to get their votes too.
This is one of the biggest flaws in Conservative Inc. I see this all over Social Media. Conservative Inc seem to think they can simply impose their choice on everyone else.
That is not how Congress works.
In Jan 2023 Jordan did not have the votes but McCarthy did.

The good news is we only need to wait 30-something days to see if this whole exercise was just a waste of time. If he’s smart he’ll agree to dollar for dollar war funding as border wall construction and e-verify implementation. Prediction: a clean CR will pass with no Ukraine funding, just like the one McCarthy passed.
Re: 27 - “...but he is not Uni Party.”
It depends on the issue. He clearly was using the bureaucracy, the “Deep State” when he directed the Department of Justice to start a review of bump stocks with the intention of banning them, and which they eventually were.
That’s power - Deep State power. And President Trump used it.
I’ve been very critical of this McCarthy defenestration, but no one ever questions “moderate” Democrats when they vote for a San Francisco communist as speaker.
LOL
It is sort of like trying to sweep back the tide with a straw broom.
I love Jim Jordan HOWEVER we ALL loved Trey Gowdey too, and look at who he turned into!!
Umm I not sure what the logic is here.
Conservative Inc is not going to impose their choice on Congress. Speaker is an elective office. So all these posting of “yeah but so and so” doesn’t follow for me.
Power corrupts. That why we should have term limits. Right now, there is not a better choice then Jordan. However, being human, he is going to screw up at times too. I
There are no perfect solutions in politics.
Hush Hillary.
