Donald Trump Endorses Pro-Life Congressman Jim Jordan for House Speaker
Life News ^ | October 6, 2023 | Steven Ertelt

Former President Donald Trump endorsed pro-life Republican Rep. Jim Jordan’s bid for Speaker of the House early on Friday.

“He will be a GREAT Speaker of the House, & has my Complete & Total Endorsement!” Trump posted.

“Just had a great conversation with President Trump about the Speaker’s race,” Congressman Troy Nehls posted on Twitter Thursday evening. “He is endorsing Jim Jordan, and I believe Congress should listen to the leader of our party. I fully support Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House.”

Jordan launched a campaign to become Speaker of the House just one day after Kevin McCarthy was ousted.

Jordan, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, is a solid pro-life advocate who has spoken up about the weaponization of the Justice Department against pro-life Americans.

McCarthy announced he is not running again, which has set off a furious campaign to replace him. Importantly for Jordan is that he appears to have support from Republican Florida Rep. Matt Gaetz, who filed the motion to vacate the chair Monday night, which then picked up the support of Democrats and resulted in McCarthy losing his speakership.

Jordan has a 100% prolife voting record in Congress and recently castigated Democrats for supporting abortions up to birth and infanticide. He recalled former Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam (D-VA), who endorsed infanticide.

“We all know in 2019, then-Gov. Northam of the state of Virginia stated this: ‘The infant would be delivered, the infant would be kept comfortable, the infant would be resuscitated if that’s what the mother and the family desired, and then a discussion would ensue between the physicians and the mother,’” Jordan said, adding, “it is simple. Infants born alive following an abortion are kids, are children. All newborns deserve the same level of care.”

“Taking the life of unborn children right up to their birthday, and then as Gov. Northam has pointed out, even after that,” Jordan said, adding “we want to make sure that ‘even after that’ part never happens.”

Jordan recently sent a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray about a recently-leaked memo from the Bureau’s office in Richmond, Virginia, that linked “radical-traditionalist Catholics” with threats of domestic extremism.

The news came days after CatholicVote President Brian Burch sent a letter to Jordan asking him to further investigate the FBI over the “anti-Catholic” memo.

Chairman Jordan’s letter demanded answers about the FBI’s “targeting of a set of Catholic Americans for their religious beliefs,” Fox News reported:

“The Committee on the Judiciary is continuing to examine the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s handling of domestic violent extremism [DVE] investigations,” Jordan wrote. …Jordan said he and committee Republicans have written to the FBI “several times” over the last year about “startling allegations that the FBI is misusing DVE resources for apparent political purposes.”

Jordan’s letter was co-signed by House Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government Chairman Rep. Mike Johnson, R-LA.

In his previous testimony in July, Wray deployed a familiar Washington trick: He sought to put the issue to rest by claiming that there is an “ongoing investigation.” In this case, the phrase du jour is “internal review.” This is to say that the FBI is investigating itself.

“It was a single product by a single field office in Richmond,” Wray assured Jordan in his testimony before the House. However, Wray has blocked the House Judiciary Committee from interviewing the relevant agents in that field office in Virginia. Now that the unredacted memo shows the FBI operation against Catholics was larger than Wray claimed, we have a real scandal on our hands.

“Do you think priests should be informants inside the Church, Director?” Jordan asked Wray incredulously during that hearing. Jordan did not appear amused by Wray’s arrogant performance, nor was he reassured by Wray’s promise to investigate himself. The indefatigable Jim Jordan saw right through Wray’s obfuscation, and the evidence now proves that Jordan was correct in his skepticism of the FBI. Wray claimed to be “aghast” at the incident, yet given his eagerness to minimize and even mischaracterize what happened, he can hardly be considered a partner to the House Judiciary Committee in finding the truth.

Jordan was the replacement plan all along, even before the trigger was pulled?

I think that would make Gaetz BRILLIANT!

Gaetz made the right call in leading the ouster of McCarthy. And now, the more that comes to light it reinforces Gaetz actions.

As for Jordan backing McCarthy, I don’t hold that against him. Had he joined with the 8, he would never be able to garner the support of McCarthy moderates needed in order to get him across the threshold to Speaker.

Just food for thought, what if Trump, Jordan and the 8, worked in unison to overthrow McCarthy?

It’s possible, and if so, applaudable!!!

Jordan for the win & the block

Jordan will be a great speaker.

He’ll hold them accountable as best he can.

Now we need someone in the office to help spearhead prosecutions ...

Jordan would make a great Speaker.
He was always respectful to McCarthy
but still maintained a 100% Conservative Rating.

I wonder if this was the plan all along? If it was, well done Trump team.

Steve Scalise, a great guy, needs to step aside on this one. Jordan needs a vote of unanimous consent for speaker. This will silence the media bird brains who are having a fit for all kinds of reasons over the needed ouster of McCarthy.

Second, Jordan needs to heed the message. It is a shot across the GOP bow by MAGA Republicans. Jordan needs decisive bold action.

Jordan must use ALL levers of power to:

1) Shut the border and NOW.
2) Send back the 8 million illegals
3) Incentivize a massive new energy plan to produce all energies.
4) Stop spending taxpayer dollars, in fact, given the government is awash in money, cut taxes.
5) Get a full accounting of monies spent in Ukraine before any new funding.
6) Unleash all powers to immediately stop the weaponization of government and prosecute those who have abused it, including wray, and Garland.
7) Impeach Biden
8) Bring manufacturing back to America
9) punish the chinese for unleashing the virus
10) Get the GOP on the Trump train, unite the party around Trump for 2024.

Gaetz blocked McCarthy and nominated Jordan instead back in January when the Congress first convened. Trump is the one who rammed McCarthy through.

Trump then posted a “Why can’t we all just get along” tweet the other day when Gaetz filed the motion to vacate McCarthy.

I’m starting to wonder if some of these Congress critters are seeing the writing on the wall with Trump, and are starting to make their plans without him. Oh they’ll still say all the right things, but watch what they do.

Well I haven’t heard who Desantis has endorsed. Perhaps because it doesn’t matter to anyone. But if you’ve heard, please share.

They’ll make him agree to the same deal as McCarthy so the RINOs and democrats can team up to vacate the chair when he displeases them.

The appropriations bills need to go through to the Senate before the current CR expires. NO MORE CRs. The House needs to return to regular order on the budget. These ‘one vote & done’ omnibus budgets & brinksmanship CRs must stop.

I was pleased to see that Jim Banks endorsed him. The toughest job for any GOP speaker is to form a team that will work to lead or drag the Rino faction back into conservatism. Jordan is the only one I can see leading that effort.

Here’s another thought. Back then the votes weren’t there for Jordan. But now that it has been revealed on full display UNDER the Biden Administration what a historical failure the Biden Administration has been and how McCarthy and the rino class has colluded together, there is now a rallying cry for change. It had to run its course in order to fully reveal the way DC operates behind the backs of its citizens.

Negotiations are already underway to remove the motion to vacate as well as other bipartisan agreements. So we’ll have to wait, not until it’s passed, but well in advance of electing Jordan.

Was thinking the exact same thing just hadn’t written it down cause I thought it sounded too fantastic. But really it is entirely possible isn’t it? And now the entire GOPe Uni Party is exposed, naked, for the country to see. Beautiful.
