Wagner troops are outraged after Russian officials bulldozed a cemetery of its mercenary fighters just days after the death of its leader, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
Prigozhin himself had opened the cemetery last year in the village of Nikolayevka, Samara Oblast, in Russia's southwestern region.
Video footage from a Wagner supporter today showed that cement had been poured over the gravesites of those who died fighting in Ukraine.
The crosses marking the grave sites had also been ripped out of the ground and were thrown into a landfill "like rubbish".
The supporter tells viewers on Telegram that "everything has been demolished"
The man, who is wearing a PMC Wagner Group T-shirt, continued: "This is blasphemy.
"People were dying for Russia and you levelled all their graves. Do you not fear God?”
He shows a pile of crosses that appear to have the date 2023 written on plaques alongside colourful wreaths.
The brutal scene prompted comparisons between Vladimir Putin and former Soviet leader Joseph Stalin, who often erased rivals from history.

Putin is caught desecrating the graves of his cannon fodder mercenaries and all you can do is curse “Zeepers” rather than at least question what Putin is doing.
What I do not understand is why Prigozhin backed down.
He knew Putin well, he should know that Putin will severely punish anybody who backstabs him.
Once Prigozhin started the rebellion, there was no way for him to back down. Win or be dead.
And, apparently he had good shot on winning.
They made it most of the way to Moscow, which was defended by just some poorly armed untrained militias. All Russian army was in Ukraine.
Putin had no way to stop them. But, somehow, they talked Prigozhin into backing down.
All what would happen after Prigozhin backed down was very predictable. I just cannot understand why Prigozhin could not expect that!
