Just had a great conversation with President Trump about the Speaker’s race.
He is endorsing Jim Jordan, and I believe Congress should listen to the leader of our party.
I fully support Jim Jordan for Speaker of the House.

Perhaps we lost him before the 2020 election, when the “six ways to Sunday” group fired a shot across his bow with the issues about “widespread sexual abuse in OSU’s wrestling program.” The timing seems to fit with the overall dynamic and how the intelligence apparatus operates. Regardless of whether that was the inflection point, the extreme visibility & promotion of the claims, in combination with the sudden disappearance of them, was the impetus –or if it was something similarly timed– something consequential changed in the political orbit of Jim Jordan.

Now Trump endorses Jordan...
I have to call out your B.S. on that one. In fact, you are so flagrantly wrong that you should ask to have your post pulled.
McCarthy went into the 2023 House Speaker election with the support of almost 190 Republicans — including Jordan. McCarthy’s only challenger in the Republican leadership vote after the 2022 elections was Andy Biggs, who McCarthy defeated handily by a 188-31 margin.
When it came time to hold the actual election for Speaker in the full House in January 2023, a bunch of those 31 Republicans who supported Biggs cast their votes for Jordan in the early rounds of voting when McCarthy couldn’t secure a majority in the House — even though Jordan never put himself up as a candidate.
POTUS recommends Jim. How cool is that!
(Personally, I had security concerns for Trump running to and fro in the jaws of the DC Swamp, even tramping around in the caverns of the Capitol building.)
Meanwhile, Trump was furiously calling the holdouts telling them to vote for McCarthy. This is well established.
This photo, in fact, is legendary, of Trump trying to stop the protests against McCarthy, by way of MTG. But maybe you've never seen it.
I’ve also said for years that Trump doesn’t endorse candidates to help them win elections. He endorses the candidates only after he knows they’re going to win. That was as true with his endorsement of McCarthy as it was with his endorsement of Mitt Romney in 2018.
Trump supported McCarthy in the House Speaker race because he knew damn well that nobody else on the Republican side was going to be elected as Speaker.
That was then...
Jim Jordan didn’t want to be speaker then.
McCarthy had to deal with the Repubs to get the nod..
He did.
And yup, Trump helped McCarthy.
Who went back on his word to guys like Gaetz..
Who if I recall, even nominated Trump back then..
So, yeah. McCarthy screwed the pooch. He was placed in the highest position in the House and decided to trust Pelosi and not deal in good faith with the Gaetz’s..
And Gaetz called him out on it..
And eventually won the victory over McCarthy. Not over Trump..
McCarthy is out.
Pelosi is out
Hoyer is out
And Gaetz is there looking like somebody who was wise to make sure McCarthy had strings attached to his Speakership..
And will the new speaker be any different than the old speaker?

What?? You must live under a rock or get your News from neighbor’s gossip. I stopped reading after you said that, which is demonstrably untrue.
Maybe there’s more to this whole scenario than meets the eye.
