Plans to phase out the sale of cigarettes in England will be the "biggest public health intervention in a generation", Rishi Sunak has said.
The PM told the BBC there was "no safe level of smoking" when asked about restricting people's right to choose.
His plan seeks to raise the legal age of smoking every year by a year so that eventually no-one can buy tobacco.
Tory MPs will be allowed a free vote while Labour indicated it would back the policy.
But some critics of the policy say it could lead to the creation of a "black market".

Probably WEF inspired.
What is next?
That is the real scary part.
“junk food” and alcohol.
He’s leading the charge to reduce London’s population down to less then 20% white.
If you’re white, you can forget about any work with the government or an agency of the government.
Meat.
Good luck trying to enforce that law. It may end up like those strict covid mask laws, where there’s a big scandal when Gov officials are observed in open violation of the same rules they imposed on the little people. Boris is no longer Prime Minister partially due to his own breaking of covid rules and lying about it.
That’s Khan and yeah, totally racist.
He’s likely going to get kicked out of office soon
They all look alike to, ok? :)
They both suck and wont be around much longer with some luck
In London they’re very upset at those cameras charging you to drive around
Hopefully they throw Khan out.
Actually Sparky…
Can you imagine driving to work and having to pay $15 every day
Totally absurd and again I think it comes from the WEF
I’m glad she’s gone
I think they’re spot-on.
Now, I don’t smoke but everyone I know who quit has put on weight. It’s a thing.
I suspect there is some “optimal” level of cigarette smoking - maybe 4-5 sticks a day? The problem is 1) going beyond that optimal point - or below it, and 2) rolling back the demonization of tobacco.
BTTT
People over there need to learn how to make EMP devices.
Fry every camera over and over…
Damm damm damm. I own a ton of tobacco company stocks such as Altria & British tobacco.
