Rudy Giuliani insists ‘I’m not an alcoholic’ as Trump’s defense undercut by ex-NYC mayor’s alleged boozing

Former Mayor Rudy Giuliani protested Wednesday that “I’m not an alcoholic” when asked about claims that he’s been hitting the bottle hard — even while providing legal advice to former President Donald Trump.

“I’m not an alcoholic. I never have been — not even close,” Giuliani told The Post in response to a New York Times report that federal prosecutors are probing his drinking habits as part of their case against Trump, 77, over his attempt to remain in power following his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden.

Special counsel Jack Smith reportedly has questioned witnesses about Giuliani’s boozing while he was advising Trump to try to block Biden from being certified as the winner, and whether that undermines the ex-president’s defense that he relied on the advice of counsel while arguing that massive voter fraud robbed him of a second term.

I bet there are plenty of lawyers that are drunk and practicing. Some maybe very functional.

50% of Congress has a drinking problem.
I don’t see any of them being arrested.

“When he had that weird paint running down his face, it was just sad.”

Not paint. Hair dye. Lots of men in the public eye don’t want to go grey, but they usually are willing to pay for a professional color job that won’t run when you start sweating. Rudy was pinching pennies using Grecian Formula or something.

I now have great empathy and compassion for ir alcoholics. I have drunk > 1/5 a day for months without enjoying any of it. AA and a very forgiving family saved my life and job. Most people can enjoy occasional alcohol just fine. For others, one drink is too many and one hundred not enough. It’s a special hell that I would never wish upon anyone.
My two cents. God bless, everyone.

Fake news. Giuliani was an outstanding Mayor, so the Dems don’t like him.

If Rudy was drunk, and I sure as heck don’t know, that wouldn’t that vindicate Trump due to incompetent counsel?

Even if Giuliani is a constant falling down drunk, where is that illegal unless he is driving or commits some crime while drunk?

If he was a crackhead like Hunter, I assume that would be just fine With Jack Ough Smith.

If you were working for Trump, you might be boozing too.

Yeah, I'd probably crawl into a bottle too if my boss refused to pay me.

How DJT Lost the White House, Chapter 3: Crashing the White House (December 18-22)

Finally, Trump stopped and scanned the three of us, and asked simply. “So what are you saying?” Thinking of the difference between the highly organized and disciplined approach I had experienced with Flynn and Sidney, versus the college sophomore bull-session approach of the Campaign and Rudy-World, I spoke up again: “Mr. President, I think you should appoint Sidney Powell your Special Counsel on these election matters and make General Flynn your Field Marshall over the whole effort. I know Rudy’s your lawyer and friend, and he can have a great role in this. Rudy should be personally advising you, and we don’t want to do anything to embarrass him. But it needs to be Sidney taking point legally on this. And if you really want to win, make General Flynn here the Field Marshall. If you do I put your chances at around 50-75%. You should see how he well he has this planned, it would run like clockwork…”

The President shook me off, saying, “No no, it’s got to be Rudy.”

“Rudy was drunk off his ass for much of the time after the election and through J6.”

When did you meet with him? How many seasons did you have with him each week?

Would you want your pilot or surgeon to be drunk, of course not, drinking is Rudy’s business except when he’s working for clients and in this case the POTUS, then it’s a serious issue, it doesn’t matter what other people might have done in this case it would be terribly wrong, as I said we don’t know what actually happened until more information comes out I won’t judge him
