In 2009 72% of the country, and an even larger percentage of the Republican voters, did not want Obamacare. The govt takeover of healthcare was along purely ideological grounds. For the 2010 midterm election, the professional Republican apparatus campaigned on this single issue – repeal Obamacare. The voters destroyed the Democrats and flipped 67 seats to Republican control. The professional Republicans wanted the House, frustrated American voters gave it to them.

The Republicans did nothing.

In 2012, the professional Republicans campaigned on retaining the House and asked to begin a process of taking down the Democrat control of the Senate. Remember, it was a 60/40 Senate when the Obamacare boondoggle was begun. Keep the House, help us take Senate seats, and we will repeal Obamacare and balance the budget. That was the call of the 2012 professional Republicans. The voters delivered. The GOPe kept the house, took 6 seats in the Senate and introduced a wave of fresh Republican blood.

The Republicans did nothing.

In the 2014 midterm election, the professional Republicans campaigned on retaining the House and now flipping the Senate with more GOP seats. Keep the House, give us the Senate majority, and we will repeal Obamacare and deliver a balanced budget. The voters again delivered. Beginning in January 2015, the Republicans controlled the House and the Senate majorities for Obama’s last two years.

The Republicans did nothing.

Worse still, even with professional Republican control of both chambers of congress, President Obama never had to use his veto pen.

alt♦ In the 2016 election, after the professional Republicans could no longer stop/block candidate Donald Trump, they said if we get the White House, retain the House and retain the Senate, we will repeal Obamacare, return to regular budgetary order, and balance the budget. Stunningly, against all the odds, the voters yet again delivered. President Trump won the election; Republicans now held the White House, the House and the Senate – as requested.

The Republicans did nothing.

Worse still, the professional Republicans acted as if they were the dog that just caught the car. Now they had no excuses, and as a result there was an exodus of retirements announced from the caucus of the professionally Republican to begin in 2018.

Simultaneously, the professional Republicans passively allowed the targeting of Donald Trump by a fully weaponized intelligence apparatus and justice system to commence. To say the professionally Republican were willfully blind would be polite and generously honest.

In the background the RNC did nothing. The California ballot harvesting operation of 2018 reflected a complete lack of action by the RNC or CA GOP. We all well remember how that operation expanded nationwide in 2020, again with the RNC doing nothing.

This is the reality of what took place between the elections of 2010 and 2020. Every ask of the professionally rRpublican apparatus was delivered by voters. Every ask of the voters in return was ignored. Effective January 2021, Obamacare still exists, no budget was ever produced, the borders were unsecured, the economy tanked due to Biden policy, energy and printing presses. Crises, along with insufferable government mandates, amplified and expanded from coast to coast.

The Green New Deal was passed by Republicans and Democrats, and the collapse of the economy came with it.

Clear enough?

Suddenly, as if there was no background of repeated broken promises and a complete failure to deliver on any key request, Kevin McCarthy and his legion of professionally Republican supporters pretend they cannot fathom why the base voters are more than happy to support Matt Gaetz.

“Ryan took the job for one reason. No one else would take the job”

You know you don’t have to be in Congress to be Speaker. Millions, and I do mean Millions, would take that job. I just want a SINGLE person who cares more about the Republic and the Citizens than themselves. Make that their burden to help save Americans.

Congress has the power of legislation and the power of the purse. Somebody use that to help Americans, not the elites or the American haters. DOJ wants to support illegal immigration and lie to Congress, hold the head in contempt and and pull the money.

The Uniparty is strong and untied against those brazen eight revolutionaries! There will be retaliation by the Vichy GOP establishment and the Democrats will urge it as well. In the end the idiots in the Vichy establishment are clueless to the fact they are alienating their voters with each utterance and action toward the eight.

Oh, there are still some, even on FR who are furious someone dared to speak up against their beloved club/party and call them out publicly. But they are a growing minority in more ways than they realize. Conservatives being lied to, yelled at and punished is a normal event in the Vichy Republican party.

The Vichy Republicans can begin to act like a real political party or they can self-immolate. The country awaits your decisions comrades, which will it be, save the country or ride the tiger, count your $ and hope your good friends across the aisle devour you last?

The Post doesn’t like Gaetz and it doesn’t like Trump. No point in reading such a biased piece of know-it-allism anymore.

Also, so glad they lost their tireless effort to end rent regulations for 2 to 3 million people in NYC. Some are calling it 3 to 4 million now, as people are doubling and tripling up more and more. Want those people on the street? Native New Yorkers many of them? While the border ignorers get comfy digs?

This Court seems to be mostly doing the right thing, not going by political affiliation.

The only reason you've got your undies in a bunch over this is because Gaetz held McCarthy accountable for breaking his promise and agreeing to side deal with Biden to keep funding the proxy war in Ukraine.

Now, it's time for the conservative patriots in the House to make it clear they will support Trump for Speaker and refuse to accept anyone that will give a penny more for the war in Ukraine or that will continue to fund a politicized DOJ or FBI.

McCarthy was held accountable. Pretty simple.

If you approve of how Congress has operated since Obama was inaugurated, McCarthy was a great SOTH. The current operating model has racked up over $30T in debt since the current order of Congressional operations began.

If you are hating on Matt Gaetz today, you are supporting the current operating model where your elected representatives have no voice. You are cheering for more debt and inflation.

“Matt Gaetz burnd down the Republican House”?

If that’s the case it had to be done because the Republican House was corrupt as hell. Pushing through a CR without any guarantee of securing the Southern Border, No proof that funding for Ukraine was stopped. As it turns out McCarthy allegedly notified the Occupant of the White House that they would continue funding that war while Impoverishing the Youth of tomorrow.

That CR should never have been approved because it was of No help to the American Citizen or this Country.

Its good McCarthy is gone. We have no need for a Republican Speaker who colludes with our political enemies.

Hey, Pelosi got kicked out of her extra office, by the new Speaker.

Why didn’t McCarthy do that?

Sensationalist headline.
They need to elect another speaker. That is hardly the end of the world.

—”I don’t understand your position. A chance is better than continuing with corrupt leadership.”

The old line is, “Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.”

The thinking appears to match Gaetz’s position.
Did he ever speak of his next move? Where to from here?

Gaetz and his “Committee for Public Safety” only help the Dems.

He did not improve our chances or his for any gains.
