he U.S. is experiencing a blood supply emergency. The emergency exists in Illinois and elsewhere across the country.
Lifesaving blood products that cancer patients, sickle cell patients, hemophiliacs and others need for survival are at dangerously low levels, Dr. Dan Waxman, vice president and senior medical director of the Versiti Blood Center, said.
βWe are at such a shortage of daily donations that this is the first time we have gone on appeal in Illinois since the pandemic,β he said.
...
The American Red Cross declared a national blood shortage on Sept. 11. Blood product distributions to hospitals are outpacing the number of blood donations coming in. Since the beginning of August, the Red Cross has seen blood supply levels drop by nearly 25%.

Sorta like the strategic petrol reserves? Is punter selling blood overseas?
Everything is in short supply, with this administration.
The new questionnaire is highly probing with very explicit questions that people are not used to. Before, it just asked if you're a man who has had sex with another man. Now, it goes into detail about the KIND of sex you are having. Who wants to be subject to that?
How much of the blood supply is CONTAMINATED with Spike Proteins? Since the little buggers didn’t stay put in the shoulder, they MUST be in the blood.
Purebloods...$10,000 per pint...payable in gold. :-)
Please tell me they keep separate pureblood from blood with nanoparticles and spike proteins.
The Red Cross declared a national blood shortage - but the article seems to focus on Illinois
IMHO - Illinois is in a class of its own for government and human dysfunction. So how bad is the problem in Illinois vs. other parts of the country?
Apparently, they don't.
Some of the deceased in whose bodies clots were found had not actually been jabbed, but had received blood transfusions.
If you wanted to ensure the blood you received was free from this crap, you would have to accept the transfusion from a more advanced country like (wait for it)... Mexico. (Apparently they separate the two.
I’m an O positive pureblood. I’d be happy with that price.
Go to oneblood.org if you’re in the southeast. They are great and a good place to donate blood and plasma
It’s possible people don’t trust anyone who wants to stick a needle in their arm...just sayin’.
Someone could make some money with a Pureblood Blood Service.
Giving blood tomorrow...56 days since my last donation. There are lots of people out there who could give safely but just don't get around to it.
Purebloods...$10,000 per pint...payable in gold.

Not crazy at all, numerous private blood banks are paying for uncontaminated plasma blood. Atlanta has a few, paying about $4 thousand plus a year, catch is plasma donation is different than giving normal blood, a longer process.
Happy to be a Pureblood.
Sorry, no blood left, the Government took all of mine and bled me dry.
I like the way you think!
About 10 years ago, my local donor organization decided that gay men were so low risk they were now eligible.
Adios, blood users!
I was already concerned about various sanitation issues.
Issue #1 - I did not like the fact that blood draw techs would probe my veins with un-gloved fingers. Where had those fingers been before they made direct contact with the skin on my future needle site?
Issue #2 - the needle pull techs would stuff the pockets of their lab coats with un-sterilized blue gloves, then stick their un-gloved hands into those pockets a hundred times a day. They would put on two microbe covered gloves, fold a gauze patch, pull the needle, and place the gauze directly on my bleeding needle site. What microbes were being delivered straight into my blood stream?
In spite of my concerns, I kept donating based on the fact that long term blood donors are healthier than average, so my microbe risk was probably well below average.
When my blood donor organization decided that gay men were low risk, I said, "See ya later," and I have never donated again.
These are exactly my problems with donating platelets ... like I did for years. They had a regular donor putting up with the extra time and cold chills of giving platelets until they lost their ability to stay clean.
