The American addiction to borrowing and spending will not be cured by political means, until adverse reactions are serious enough to shake the country by its neck. Gaetz’s actions are, however, useful. They are helping move the $hit closer to the fan. IMO, shutdowns can be leveraged to give the moronic masses at least a taste of what is to come when the currency is sufficiently debased.

Change will inevitably come. But the question is whether the change will bring deliverance or disaster. I watch and wait.
