House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation” that Rep. Matt Gaetz’s (R-FL) plans to come after his speakership will fail.
Anchor Margaret Brennan said, “I want to start, though, on the news from Congressman Matt Gaetz, who says he’s going to seek a motion to vacate. He’s going to try to oust you as speaker of the House.”

Geatz is not a sociopath not even close, he is fighting hard to turn DECADES of this utter BS around!! And at the end of the day, if Gaetz and some others stand strong, McCarthy needs the democrats to hold on.
If he makes that deal with that devil, the democrats run the House for the remainder of this term.
McCarthy becomes a beotch of Pelosi and Jefferies.

Without question. That way, you can apply pressure to each individual government agency, without having to face the pressure of approving them all at once.
Take the DOJ for example. You can focus the FBI funding, or special counsel investigations, whatever you want in the DOJ, without it being combined with more necessary funding packages like the DOD, that almost always are approved on an expedited time frame. Combining all the bills into one Omnibus, which started under Obama, but continued under Trump, is what led to the obscene runaway spending to begin with.
And, these individual bills coming out of Republican committees are full of spending cuts, and target things that Republicans want to target. We were on course for budget cuts everywhere. Take these wins in our fist year back in the majority, and make the Democrats go on record as the ones who want to oppose any cuts, at all, instead of making it look like Republicans can't govern, at all.

You should never have posted that. Where did that come from? If this stuff doesn’t stop or get stopped, I’m going silent, because it only gives the Fed boys ammunition to Jan. 6 many of us on here. McCarthy didn’t keep his promises and is allowing the Democrars to keep recklessly spending.

Not true at all. The incredible explosion in spending we've seen the last 10 years is a many ways due to the Omnibuses, which never allowed much debate on the House floor about spending priorities.
It was all just thrown together, you much approve it all, or nothing gets passed. Well, since SOME things do need to get funded, because there's no other option, EVERYTHING got funded.
All by design of Obama, Pelosi, and Schumer. It's ridiculous that we're just now getting rid of it. Or were getting rid of it, I should say, because now everything is in question again.
