Donald Trump said that if he were president again the people savagely looting stores would be shot on-site.
It comes amid spiking crime in U.S. cities and claims of lax prosecutors – as well as the lowered penalties for shop-lifters that have led to a series of viral incidents in recent years.
'We will immediately stop all of the pillaging and theft,' Trump said during remarks at the California GOP's fall convention in Anaheim on Friday.

Society can not allow this.
Society is captive to politicians put in place with the help of a corrupt electoral system. They’ll be of no help to shop owners. If anything it will be the lesson of Watts and individual Korean store owners that will deter lawlessness.
Growing up in the 40s and 50s, that what we were taught: Looters are shot.

The response to Trump’s speech is predictable. Racist Trump declares open season on black people. Shooting looters is a valid response to anarchy though.

He can say that. But he can't do it, and possibly won't even try.
Trump says good things. His best point is that by saying such things, he puts it on the table for discussion, and gives common people permission to say it.
But he does a lot less than he says, whether because the Deep State won't let him, or because the Kushners held him back, or because he himself simply backed off.
The looters have us completely scared to do anything and they know it and use it
I can’t figure out why people haven’t already put up signs saying “looters will be shot”.
