Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ campaign confirmed to The Daily Signal on Wednesday evening that he will support 15-week protections for the unborn.

In audio of the debate following DeSantis’ response to an abortion question, candidate Sen. Tim Scott can be heard asking DeSantis if he would support legislation banning abortions of babies after 15 weeks.

“Yes, I will,” DeSantis responds.

desanctimonious had previously signed a 15 week abortion ban in Florida.

He then changed it to 6 weeks.

He criticized and attacked Trump, for Trump's comments on the 6 week ban.

If he was so supportive of a 6 week ban, why didn't he say he was for a 6 week ban at the debate?

And yes, abortion is not in the constitution, and should be a state issue.

The Constitution gives the feds NO AUOTHORITY in matters of health, abortion, etc.

Health, abortion, etc. are STATES’ ISSUES!! PERIOD!!

If he was so supportive of a 6 week ban, why didn't he say he was for a 6 week ban at the debate?

Is congress trying to pass a 6 week ban?

Anyhow, it's funny watching Trumpers criticize DeSantis for not being pro-life enough.

We won Roe versus Wade. Everything is at the state level now. Let’s do everything we can to go Kamakaze to inflame the whores and make it a federal issue again.

For god sake, don’t just say the Supreme Court has made their decision and now it’s with the states, and anyway back to immigration, or the economy, Ukraine, or anything else.

The Republicans are trying to throw another election.

Agreed, such a thing would be just as contradictory and unconstitutional as Roe v Wade was.

Keep this out of the Federal government. We just ended that and all this will do is lead to what we just got rid of.

15 weeks is still an abortion.

Disappointing.

How far along in pregnancy does a woman know or suspect that she might be pregnant?

Republicans, passing away another big win.

Hell, even Roe only federalized 12 weeks (first trimester).

lol

desanctimonious signed a 6 week ban in Florida....

And in the several threads that were here, desantis supporters attacked Trump’s, as well as many FR’s comments on it in support of desantis.

Now desantis is for a federal law banning abortion at 15 weeks?

Does desantis pander on things, all the time?

Sure looks like it.

Anyhow, it's funny watching Trumpers criticize DeSantis for not being pro-life enough.

Drew, your sad sack of crap candidate is accepting the neo-con premise that they need to get the evangelical vote again because Trump "somehow" alienated them.

The abortion issue is won. Trump got rid of Roe v Wade, you want further abortion protections, then fight for it in your state legislature.

All this does is allow the Left to be "moderate" on the issue and attack the GOP candidate as a "far-right extremist." Look what Beshear is doing in Kentucky, for example. He's destroying Cameron on the issue.

We won Roe versus Wade. Everything is at the state level now.

The GOP should declare that we are pro-choice and let the states legalize abortion.

It's not within federal jurisdiction.

We have to recognize that this country wants to make abortion legal and move on.

It depends on multiple factors.

Some women have regular cycles, and may be suspicious if they miss a cycle right away.

Other women may have irregular cycles, for instance, some women athlelets, or women with PCOS or other conditions, and may not suspect they are pregnant because they missed a 4 week cycle, until as much as another 4 weeks or more latter, when other signs or symptoms apppear.
