1) I had to look up the word you used. You could have written in the King's English, given the Union Jack flying on your about page.
2) Based on the word meaning "lying," your sentence "Vranyo on this point is so obviously untrue" translates to me as "lying on this point is so obviously untrue," a redundancy in the King's English.
3) The history as you retell it is unnecessary to my view. Given my "not my circus and not my monkeys" stance, what went on and what is going on are up to the belligerents, first, and Europe second. Within the larger frame of massive international debt and our own idiotically burdensome debt, the expenditure of funds is not to my liking.

Actually, "vranyo" is a Soviet concept deployed by Putin, the Kremlin, and the St Petersburg propaganda mill to this day. It doesn't QUITE mean the act of "lying" - it's the practice of you telling a barefaced lie KNOWING that all sensible people will know right off the bat that you're lying, but that's not the point because it's actually about doing it in circumstances where the people who know you're lying still have to act as if you're telling the truth.
