Democrats Are on a Winning Streak That Could Transform Our Politics
The Nation ^ | 9/22/2023 | By John Nichols

In the past few days, Democrats have secured majority control of the Pennsylvania House and moved within one seat of ending Republican control of the New Hampshire House. Those wins are not aberrations. They are the latest measures of a nationwide blue wave that has seen Democrats outperform expectations in 24 of 30 special elections for open state legislative seats this year. Legislative contests that were once considered local or regional races are being nationalized, as concerns about abortion rights and voting rights—two issues that are up for grabs in statehouses—are putting Republican candidates in a perilous position.

The numbers back up Williams’s assessment. On average, according to a fresh assessment by the data crunchers at FiveThirtyEight, Democrats are finishing 11 points better than the historic voting patterns of their districts would have predicted. That doesn’t mean that they are winning every race; sometimes, they are merely closing the gap in heavily Republican districts. But in other cases, Democrats are flipping Republican seats and raising the prospect that they will take control of legislative chambers that are currently controlled by the GOP.

Anyone who supports that abortion of the Constitution & child murder is not a conservative. Slava Ukraine.

Yep. Reversing R v W was like taking candy away from a spoiled toddler. Repealing the 19th is the only solution. And yes, I’m a 62 yr old female. Today’s XX chromosomes (and most XY) are too pampered and coddled to think logically.

That's a good way to explain it. Eventually, someone will challenge the abortion ban in 10 or 15 years and Roe vs Wade will become the law of the land again even though by that point, only 5-10 states will have restrictions on abortion.

Early voting is stupid, and mail in voting is mostly fraud.

I've read many accounts of the people in Pennsylvania having, because of early voting, voted for Fetterman, all to regret it after they realized how retarded and brain damaged he was.

Early voting doesn't allow people to see the latest facts that come out which may make them change their minds.

And the thing in Georgia was about not participating in a clearly fraudulent election process, and it wouldn't have mattered if they did, because the election was rigged in Georgia.

We've got the evidence of it now. *NOT* participating in a fraudulent election was exactly the right thing to do. The stupid National party simply didn't learn the lesson they should have learned from people objecting to fraudulent elections.

Now that the new groups policies aren’t triumphing at the polls, it’s easier for them to tell themselves that all of the losses are due to fraud.

Well there's that, and the FREAKING MOUNTAIN OF EVIDENCE PROVING FRAUD.

Clearly you have not been paying attention to all the articles posted on Free Republic which details the various types of fraud that has been discovered and how it was accomplished.

It irritates the rest of us who were paying attention when people who have not been paying attention try to deflect from the central issue and pretend these elections are about positions or politics.

We have a massive election fraud problem in this country in the Swing states, and it needs to be dealt with.

This is what happens when you ignore voter fraud. The dems are full blown marxists now. You have seen the video, you know who does it and they don’t take them on. Why because American politics is a facade that anyone with eyes can see through. Hell, we all know Ukraine is the biggest money laundering operation in our life time... call your rep or senator. No one is coming to save us...either get involved with time and money or prepare for the NWO. We are up against pure evil... Satanic Pedophiles.

FROM 2016 TO 2020 President Donald Trump attempted to reverse this. But the American voter said loud and clear, }Oh Hell no you don’t!” and unceremoniously kicked him out of Office.

That's not true, and people shouldn't repeat enemy lies that claim it is. 2020 was the most fraudulent election in American history. MASSIVE fraud, and targeted in the swing states.

We've got the freakin evidence! Georgia was corrupt. Arizona was corrupt. Pennsylvania was corrupt. Wisconsin was corrupt. Michigan was corrupt. Nevada was corrupt.

Trump got the highest ever recorded *REAL VOTE* total in American history. Joe the idiot bitch did not win the election, the faked fabricated ballots that flooded the system, and the corrupt pieces of sh*t running the election centers in Democrat controlled cities in the swing states, manufactured enough fake ballots to create the illusion that Joe Bitch-den won.

Find the truth and don't fall for the lies.

Nope 100% female & about as constitutional libertarian conservative as you get. Same with the sister she describes herself as a mad max conservative. She wants basically no government. Yes men and women are different. Absolutely, but its not as simple as big government. I think that’s something that men tell themselves, but if you pay attention it doesn’t break down that way. You’d probably be right in assuming women would be more supportive of child related stuff- education, day care, etc. - but we aren’t statistically inclined to support other big government initiatives any more than males. Men also have their pet issues for big government. Men historically spend copious amounts of money annually on military endeavours, spy agencies, law enforcement, etc. It’s not as easy as he’s red she’s blue. Family structure does have some bearing on both views. Married women, like myself, vote sla great deal like their husband’s. In a stable family unit where needs are being met, women & men
will vote like her spouse. As singles, with needs not being met more often than not, women will search for stability & men will opt out of participation in voting. It’s every bit as much a problem that single males are choosing to bypass all civic involvement as single female searching for support & structure in all the wrong places. I do think that once married & stable, their worldviews become very similar. It’s almost like the couple saying “don’t violate our family, our privacy, our freedoms”! 😉

Add to that the exodus of conservative minded people from the Northeast. One of the popular destinations for retired Yankees is The Villages, Florida, where the politics are very conservative.

The problem isn’t “democratic voters.”

The problem is Republican voters who have a tendency not to vote in off season elections.

If demonrats have it so good why do they need to come up with a more
ways to vote/cheat. Picture ID to vote and vote in person unless incapacitated or away, then let’s see how well the evil lying democrats do.

Well I am a millenial, but obviously a right wing, conservative one! I am barely old enough to remember Reagan. It’s true, the party could stand to become more youthful. But to be honest, it’s true of both parties. Biden is 80 & Trump is 77. Not sure how old Pelosi is after all the facelifts & Mitch McConnell & Chuck Shumer are both octogenarian. My husband & I started liking DeSantis because it was amazing to see somebody close to our age I’m politics that wasn’t a leftist moron like AOC or a skanky hooker like Lauren Boebert. We are getting better though. DeSantis, Ramaswamy & all of the new influencers out on broadcasts are really cool. I’m happy to have a nice mix of generations though. I think it makes us stronger 💪🤣😉

One word. Abortion. I guess John Roberts on the SCOTUS was right. I think he made an argument for the court to move slower on the Roe vs Wade issue. Instead of overhauling it completely, each state could ban late term abortions but otherwise we'll keep Roe vs Wade in place.

They’ve perfected five decades of having the humanist religion brainwash students and teacher’s alike in public “education.”

I’ve said this for the past five years. It will not matter what awesome candidate you have on our side….the values that dominate come from the religion taught in public schools. That is where future voters come from. Yet, most Americans still insist on taking part of the lunacy and fraud that is public education.

This is precisely what I said would happen: completely ignored any of the things I mentioned! Completely!! I also stated like 5 rtimes that I ABSOLUTELY AGREE! There is almost certainly election fraud occurring & particularly in swing states. Said it & it gets covered here in countless articles. My point is that the loss of the last couple of elections weren’t completely due to that alone. There were major mistakes made by our side that contributed to us not winning. I knew entire demographic groups of people who didn’t show up to vote in 2020 due to the same similar complaints. We have a million articles on here documenting the fraud, but there were problems motivating particular demographics (which is a major part of what a campaigns job is), certain conservative demographics the campaign was having trouble connecting with & who votes were needed weren’t paid attention to, campaign funds weren’t secured to fund ads & coalitions were not reinforced. To pretend that they ran a great campaign or believe that fraud was the only thing that caused a loss is setting us up to be complacent and lose 2024. Stop being proud & denying the flaws we exhibited. Yes fraud was at least half of the problem and it is essential for the future of this nation that it is dealt with. The other half were mistakes we made & improvements we need to make before the electionin. The more of our side and swing voters that we motivate makes it more difficult for fraud to succeed 😉
