Trump Calls for Autoworkers' Support: 'I'll Make You Victorious & Rich'
NewsMax ^ | Sunday, 17 September 2023 | Eric Mack

Former President Donald Trump sought to capitalize on the United Auto Workers strike, calling for their votes and rebuking President Joe Biden's "electric car scam."

"The United Autoworkers are being sold down the 'drain' with this all electric car scam," Trump posted Sunday on Truth Social. "They'll be made in China, under Crooked Joe's China First policy. Autoworkers, vote for Trump — I'll make you victorious & rich."

UAW President Shawn Fain rejected talk about being a rubber stamp on an endorsement for Biden in the upcoming presidential election.

"We expect action, not words," Fain told CBS News' "Face the Nation" on Sunday, adding the endorsement has to be "earned."

Trump tried to do just that Sunday, albeit appealing to the worker and not the union bosses.

"If your 'leaders' won't endorse me, vote them out of office, now," Trump's statement continued. "With the Democrats & Crooked Joe calling the shots, you'll be jobless & penniless within 4 years."

Fain is demanding pay increases commensurate with the auto company CEOs.

"The reason we ask for 40% pay increases is because in the last four years alone, the CEO pay went up 40%," Fain told "Face the Nation."

"They're already millionaires.

"Our demands are just. We're asking for our fair share in this economy and the fruits of our labor."

Trump is asking for the autoworkers to back him over Biden.

"Remember, Biden is a crook who has been paid millions of dollars by China, & others," Trump's statement concluded. "He is a Manchurian candidate!!!"

It’s about time the Dims’ voter blocks woke up. It seems to be happening.

There were reports that Trump will be in Detroit rallying with autoworkers on the same night as the next GOP debate. I hope he goes through with that.

The working class is behind Trump. It's the handful of college grads and secondary degree holders that are Leftists and support Biden and Marxism. Proving our institutions of higher learning are just the opposite.

The add in 90% of Black women who depend on government to remain poor. Both groups are in effect hurting themselves by voting for Dems.

Pandering to over-paid Union membership, so that money-funnel-directly-to;politicians, is a lose-lose proposition for taxpayers.........

Taxpayers LOSE because politicians ALWAYS use their money to bail out corrupt pension funds, bank defaults, fake-student loan non-payments etc.

The money-laundering funnel grew to the point that manufacturers moved overseas, for cheap labor, and now have the border open for MORE cheap labor, which will be Unionized quickly, down the road.

In days of old, when the USA existed, an honest DOJ would be Prosecuting RICO violations, for the politicians and unions for their efforts to enrich themselves..........basically; a Criminal Enterprise, nothing less.

I think this is GREAT. Divide and Conquer.

Speak DIRECTLY to the workers.

get them to go AGAINST the union and vote for Trump.

get them to realize the UNION is NOT their friend. The union bosses still make millions/ yr if ALL workers are out of work.

Get them to vote in a leadership that is NOT 100% dem owned.

make the UAW not a subsidiary and funding arm of the DNC.

As Big Business has gone increasingly woke, it's appropriate for Republicans to reach out to Big Labor.

We keep telling blacks that the Democrats take their support for granted. Likewise, Big Business has for too long taken Republican support for granted.

Dearborn MI used to make automotive components

Now they build mosques. The over compensated union did that.

I knew a retied "autoworker". He was dumb as a box of rocks. The only thing he knew was how to recognize "wormy metal". He did that for 25 years and after retirement, continued to make the same money/benefits for life. What will they be making after a 40% increase? $70-80 per hour to snap together components made in Mexico/Canada?

Meanwhile, small factories dot the flyover landscape with workers making $15/hr with crappy benefits that end when you retire and try to live on SS. If only there was a happy medium.

LOL

TrumpBadger Don’t Care...

I hate the UAW (not most of the people who are part of it, because they gotta earn a living) but I won’t buy an American car that has UAW workers, because my money goes towards paying money to people who hate me and want to destroy this country.

I understand why Trump does this, but I have no sympathy for UAW members and refuse to buy vehicles they make.

I have the same attitude. Why buy a car made by UAW workers who contribute to a union which funds the Democratic Party?

I'm hoping to keep my current car for a long time, provided that it doesn't get hit by a hit-and-run driver (which is why I had to replace my last car are having it for only 23 years).

It does bother me, because I would buy an American car, and even pay more for same or slightly less value, if it were not for that.

As a former union Pipefitter, I would get into discussions with my former union brothers as to why they support democrats that increase their taxes and take money & support from environmentalists that want to shut down nuclear, coal, and oil/chemical production, while they smile in your face and tell you they’re for the working man.

But I can remember sitting in union meetings and the Business Manager would sit there and tell us “we know who you voted for” to put fear into the members that they would face consequences for voting republican.

Agree. Besides, I don’t think Trump is pandering. I think he sees a natural ally in the fight against globalism and the green agenda.

Here’s what Trump is doing:

“President Trump’s new radio ad on protecting America’s auto workers from foreign competition as well as Joe Biden’s INSANE electric vehicle mandates.” (Audio/Video)
