That is why Trump won’t debate.
Trump should show up to the debate and say nothing in answer to every question except: "Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to answer that question because I am under a gag order by a political appointee for crimes I did not commit. If I answer, I will be held in contempt because our legal system is a disastrous mess."
He should say that 100 times during the debate. It will be more eloquent than actually answering any of the questions.

No, it will remind voters 100 times that he is hamstrung from executing his duties as President. That he will always be under indictment. Dogs with bones and they’ll never let go.
As much as he is loved and wanted, he will never be allowed to win or govern because elected Republicans are nutless and will do absolutely nothing to stop this.
