House GOP to reject latest chutzpah-bum demands from Zelensky...
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) predicted on Sunday that Zelensky “makes the case better than anyone” and could be “very, very persuasive” in getting reluctant Republicans to back more aid.One senior GOP lawmaker scoffed at the remark.
The lawmaker joked that when Turner’s “pet unicorn has offspring, I’d like to buy one of the colts.”
“Get out of here. That’s just crazy. … We do not have the votes in the Republican conference to do any Ukraine funding,” the lawmaker continued.
It’s over.
“Not enough votes”? Lord, let it be.

Without aid, Ukraine won’t last a second, and once the grift is over, Zelensky will negotiate a peaceful ending to that bloodbath.

care enough about that issue to risk the Speakership he’s held for less than 1 year
I don’t see it. And a Continuing Resolution pending to fund the govt will not have Ukraine funding in it. Which likely means it won’t pass the Senate.
So there will be horse trading, and there are many issues juggling, not the least of which is DOJ funding.
This is not going to be your run of the mill gov’t shutdown drama. Rather a lot of guys don’t care if it shuts down.
