Posted on 09/19/2023 11:24:41 AM PDT by ChicagoConservative27

Democrat-run California could lose five congressional districts in 2030 due to population loss.

Tee hee.

This news comes from Decision Desk HQ, which looked at the data and concluded, “If current trends continue, the state could lose as many as five congressional districts in the 2030 reapportionment cycle.”

Now you know one of the many reasons Democrats are flooding America with illegals and want to make them citizens.

California has already reached its apex in representation in the congress.

It was the same with New York. New York had 47 Electoral votes in 1948. It now has 28. And will likely have 23-25 after the 2030 census.

They should have lost a few already but they pulled shenanigans with the last census.

Yep, the state peaked in 2000 or so and it’s been a long slide down into the sewer since.

Its nonsense, illegal aliens have more than replaced the displaced taxpayers. They count just as much as a citizen when it comes appropriating house seats.

The dems could see the writing on the wall. That is what much of all this open border crisis is about. The GOP house could put a stop to it but won't.

They plan to just backfill with illegal border crossings

Perhaps, then this:

Now you know one of the many reasons Democrats are flooding America with illegals and want to make them citizens.
Nolte's projecting idiocy. If they flip all the southern states, they'll never lose. THAT's the primary effort ongoing, turned asunder by Abbott & DeSantis busing them to blue states to spread the pain. Worse, californians migrating to 'red' states serves to flip those as well.

If Nolte wants to write about california's woes, he should stick to that rather than trying to tie in the open border: CA's problems are self-inflicted and have little-to-nothing to do with the open border.

They will just redraw the districts to eliminate Republican representatives.

“Now you know one of the many reasons Democrats are flooding America with illegals and want to make them citizens.”

Making them citizens has zilch to do with it. The census counts everyone, legal and illegal, and those figures are used for reapportionment. They can all stay illegal, and California still benefits. Illegals can and do vote, too.

Surprisingly, the premise of the article is actually true — **IF** current trends continue, CA would lose 4 or 5 seats in the House, which also means a loss of 4 or 5 electoral votes in presidential elections. Those 4 or 5 lost seats sure as hell won’t all be Democrats though, so don’t get too giddy yet. As many as possible will be GOP districts.

California may be diminishing but good old Texas is still growing and is in line to keep gaining seats and EVs. That sounds nice for now, but when it flips from true blue to commie red the results of that growth won’t be quite so nice.

Scotus ruled that the census couldn’t ask if respondents were citizens.

Oh. So illegal aliens get congressional representation. How convenient for the Uniparty.

The problem is when all those California refugees relocate to conservative states and then vote for the same democrat/socialist crap that forced them to flee their own state.

My thought as well. Net migration from the state for years, yet kept the same number of sets. Hmmmm.

Those seats are now in places like Idaho, Texas, and other states.

Don’t celebrate the spreading of the infection.

Wouldn’t help. If they lose five seats they will just redraw district lines and wipe out five republican incumbents.
