KYIV, Ukraine (AP) – Six Ukrainian deputy defense ministers were fired Monday following the dismissal two weeks ago of Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov in a corruption scandal, officials said, as heavy fighting continued in the east.
Deputy defense ministers including Hanna Maliar, Vitalii Deyneha and Denys Sharapov, as well as the state secretary of the Ministry of Defense, Kostiantyn Vashchenko, were fired, according to the Telegram account of Taras Melnychuk, permanent representative of the Cabinet of Ministers.
Melnychuk provided no explanation of the firings, but the government has been investigating accusations of corruption in the military related to purchasing equipment. Rustem Umerov, a Crimean Tatar lawmaker who took over as defense minister, did not immediately issue a statement.

1) Putin is in charge of Russia,One may logically conclude then, based on the above dossier, that when Biden forced Ukraine to sack a special prosecutor or not get aid, Biden was part of the Putin cabal even then. And since Biden continues to send money and materiel....2) has been in charge of the deep state in Ukraine (per the 20 August 2023 testimony),
3) is in charge of the United States via the Biden administration, including other Democrats such as Obama and Clinton, and of course, therefore....
4) is in charge of our very own deep state....

Corruption in Ukraine is normal, but you have to keep it out of the news or the money flow will stop.

The Deputy Defense Ministers. Reportedly, they took big skims on contracts to provide food and clothes to the troops (probably other stuff as well, but those two were the biggest public scandals).
The Ukrainian Defense Minister who was recently replaced, Oleksii Reznikov, was by accounts competent and a patriot, but tolerated the corruption of senior members of the Ministry. I find it hard to believe that he did not profit himself, as was common practice in Russia and Ukraine, but reportedly the main offenders were his subordinates.
The new Defense Minister, Rustem Umerov, does not have much of a Military background, but is the most famous senior Government bureaucrat for campaigning against corruption. He is just coming from a year of running the State Property Fund, where he earned a high profile reputation for cleaning house, firing and prosecuting many. These firings of the Deputy Defense Ministers is probably his doing, requiring the President’s approval.
Umerov is a Muslim Crimean Tatar, who speaks Turkish (as well as English, Ukrainian, Russian and Tatar), who has taken part in International negotiations to exchange prisoners with Russia, as well as the Black Sea Grain Deal, and State visits to Muslim Countries including Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The EU is demanding a clean up of corruption in the Ukraine, as part of its requirements for admission, and in the last couple of months there has been a flurry of activity in Ukraine to meet this requirement. The Legislature is expeditiously drafting a new anti-corruption law tailored to meet EU requirements.
They must have found out how mush he’s been whacking the incoming funds.
