Ukraine reported on Monday its troops had recaptured more territory on the eastern front and advanced in the south in its military counteroffensive against Russian forces.

Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar said Kyiv's forces had retaken two square km (0.77 square mile) of land in the past week around the shattered eastern city of Bakhmut, which was captured by Russian troops in May after months of fighting.

Ukraine reported on Monday its troops had recaptured more territory on the eastern front and advanced in the south in its military counteroffensive against Russian forces.

Overall, Ukraine regained more than 260 square km (100 square miles) in the south during the counteroffensive, she said.

During its three-month-old counteroffensive, Ukraine has reported slow, steady progress against entrenched Russian positions, retaking a string of villages and advancing on the flanks of Bakhmut, but taking no major settlements.

The flood of Russian and Chinese propaganda on the web is overwhelming. But if you cannot tell that difference between real and fake, then you have no business commenting.

Putin’s is just a half corpse (according to Russian bloggers) and his doctors are more and more at his side, while the Double makes all the public appearances even to meeting lil Kimmy.

No they aren’t. I’ve watched them closely for months.

Of course I’m sure a few are as are from Ukr. But in General? No.

Seems to be working fairly well - for Russia.

You have a strange definition of "working fairly well".

Sorry, it is not “amazing” to fling your conscripted troops

Funny, that was the russian Wagner offensive with troops attacking over open ground.

Please to explain why your hero Creepy Joe Biden is flying $6 billion in cash to Iran

LOL, have NEVER complimented Biden, even in the Ukraine war the slow rolling and second guessing of weaponry (ATACMS) is ridiculous.

Not the same at all indeed.

China views the war in Ukraine as a "test case" for its own designs on Taiwan, according to Taiwanese Deputy Foreign Minister Roy Chun Lee.

In an exclusive interview with RFE/RL on the sidelines of the GLOBSEC security conference in Slovakia, Lee explained why Taipei wants the West to keep supporting Ukraine's war effort, how Europe's stance on Taiwan is changing, and in what ways China and Russia's close ties could affect the balance of power in the Asia-Pacific region.

"Until a final victory arrives, defending Ukraine against Russia has [direct] implications for Taiwan," Lee said. "In particular, it shows the potential support that we will receive from our democratic allies in the case of a Chinese military invasion."

Russia was an enemy long before these things happened (if indeed they happened). The more the rest of the world changes the more Russia stays the same. It is the last predatory aggressive super power in the world. The only reason Ukraine in NATO would be a threat to Russia is if they were not a peace loving country and they are not.

Take it up with Russian bloggers who are saying that.

Tens of thousands of Ukrainians have died to take back less than a square mile of land, which they have no chance of holding.

It's unbelievable anyone would try to pass that off as a victory.

I anticipate more attacks on Russian forces in Crimea, as their S-400 (Triumf) Air Defense systems have been getting hit.

There were only five to cover Crimea’s coasts, and two were destroyed in the last few weeks - Aug. 23, in Cape Tarkhankut on the Crimean Peninsula’s northwest coast. The second, on Thursday Sep. 14, struck a battery 36 miles south in Yevpatoriya. You know that one must be guarding the Kerch Strait Bridge.

If Sunday’s strike on Cape Fiolent (on the high ground, on the Southern edge of Stevastopol) also took out an S-400 as some have speculated, there could be a total loss of an integrated Air Defense picture along the West Coast of Crimea for Russian Forces, opening the door for more attacks.

Unrelated, Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Maliar got fired today, along with five other Deputy Defence Ministers. Looks like the new Defence Minister, Rustem Umerov, is cleaning house of corruption, like he did at his last job in the State Property Fund.

"Oh SH*T, Russia is reinforcing itself without any help from the outside" | Redacted News

U.S. officials have admitted that Russia is producing more missiles now than it was before the conflict began. We take a look inside Russian training grounds to see a side of this that the West won't show you. This footage brought to you boy Redacted correspondent Patrick Lancaster.
