“The list that voted to not impeach is much shorter.”
Three quarters of Texas House Republicans voted to Impeach him. Only 2 of 18 Senate Republicans did the same.
...which leads to the OBVIOUS question: What the hell were the House Republicans thinking when they took their vote, their vote to bring down one of their own? House Republican Primaries might be very interesting next year...
Paxton should have every last one of them indicted for malfeasance and corruption.
Listen to Lt. Governor Dan Patrick’s speech after the acquittal. He took the house to the verbal wood shed. It sounds like he threatened to make them pay the exorbitant legal bills they racked up themselves rather than the tax payers.
It was really a good speech.
Everyone should watch the speech by Texas rep Smithee
He gave this speech moments before the House absurdly voted to impeach Paxton on Saturday evening of Memorial Day weekend.
It was an appalling abuse of power:

Maybe they are democrats at heart.
Many of those house repubs were first timers. They got bamboozled into voting against the AG by some senior politicians. First term and last term for my rep Orr.
