That is the ONE thing they want to change. That is the ONE thing we cannot let them change. This is why we shouldn’t have a convention of states. The 2nd would be the first thing out the window.

With more than half the states now with constitutional carry, this is a good campaign ploy but DOA. On positive note, it is the only legit method of addressing gun control.

I think it’d be unconstitutional to get rid of any of the bill of rights.
It’s like a paradox or infinite regress.

It won’t fly. Too many states have passed more lax carry laws and are working towards less gun control. They’ll never agree to it.

And Newsome just destroyed any chance he has of getting elected as president.
Unless the democrat vote fraud machine is ramped way up.
Even then, the people will never abide by it.

Well, that’s could be a positive, if the Left now acknowledges that without a Constitutional amendment they may not infringe the right to keep and bear arms. Unfortunately, the Left has been doing just that without benefit of any amendment. But for some Constitutionalist Justices, they already would have succeeded in surreptitiously revoking the Second Amendment.
To: Publius
Any amendment that is in conflit with the Constitution is null and void.

To be fair to them, this is the actual correct procedure for them to accomplish what they want, which is the eradication of the Second Amendment right. Not the death of a thousand cuts that they’ve been trying.
It’s still evil - but the old hippie crowd of true believers in this crap are dying off and they’re desperate to get their agenda accomplished before then.

Once the left demonstrates that it can respect and follow the existing Constitution, according to the authors’ original intent (not some made up perversion of it), then maybe they can talk about amending it. Of course, the odds of that happening are precisely zero.

For the amendment to be considered, two-thirds of state legislatures would have to vote in favor of a convention, according to the Times. I'll take: "Things that will never happen" for $1,000.00, Alex.
