No he is not deteriorating. Stop that! He has always said this kind of nonsense, compensating for his less than mediocre existence. No matter the event, crisis, disaster, calamity, outrage, generosity of mankind, Joe has been there and done that, only with more value to the world.

Do you remember when Joe Stupid claimed FDR went on television in 1928 to reassure people suffering through the Great Depression? You know, the Great Depression that didn’t start until 1929.
In 1928 WRGB did indeed begin telecasting but it was limited to Schenectady NY and close environs and didn’t include any presidential speeches. BTW, the actual president in 1928 was a fellow named Hoover.
