A Minnesota woman who has decided to detransition from a transgender male is suing the doctors who performed a double mastectomy on her when she was just 16.
Luka Hein, now 21, claims she was going through a tough time emotionally as a teenager, when her parents were getting divorced and when she was being groomed online by a man from another state.
As she struggled with her mental health during this time, she said she found influencers online who extolled the virtues of breast surgery and hormones. Hein then met with staff members at the University of Nebraska Medical Center, who she claims coerced her into undergoing “top” surgery and started her on hormone treatments.

The side affects make continuation of taking these drugs by the patient problematic.
I would wager that in the future these cases will continue. Especially if minors were involved. The insurance companies will quit coverage, driving the industry.
This is probably the simplest solution to the butchery of minors...simply remove all statutes of limitations that apply in civil court, with unlimited damages. Minors by definition can NOT consent to such procedures, thus doctors should be held liable for their practice on non-consenting minors. After that, good luck getting malpractice insurance.

I have trouble with even letting adults make their own medical diagnosis sometimes. They obviously have mental issues. There is a thing were some people think that a part of their body (usually a limb) doesn't belong to them. A doctor in England amputated a limb from two people before the government stopped him (no fines or anything).
The doctor was upset as he had two other patients waiting for the procedure, and he wanted to give them the relief they so desired.
It's God who determines our sex, with an understanding of Eternity and souls we barely comprehend, let alone, acknowledge.
I hope she wins a LARGE amount of cash damages from them.
That’s what will really stop this insanity - big cash awards. The best part is a key part of the Democrat constituency, the trial lawyers, will be all onboard with this. Use their own to destroy them.

But the “Groomer,” should be sued.
At 16 years of age she is still a minor and it should be/ always be a crime to encourage or to operate on her without Parent’s OK.
