Paxton Impeachment Crumbles as Witness Admits Bribe Never Happened
The National Pulse ^ | September 14, 2023 | WILLIAM UPTON

The prosecution’s case in the impeachment trial of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton appears to have crumbled, with Andrew Wicker, former personal assistant to Paxton, admitting to defense attorney Tony Buzbee that photos of Paxton’s home indicate no renovations were made to the kitchen counter-tops nor to the kitchen cabinetry – one of the key claims against the Texas AG.

The alleged kitchen remodel was, according to Texas House lawmakers who approved 20 articles of impeachment against Paxton on May 27th, part of a quid pro quo scheme with real estate developer Nate Paul in exchange for Paxton helping him with a fraud lawsuit and preventing foreclosure on properties that he owned.

During Buzbee’s cross examination, however, Wicker was shown two sets of photos from 2020 and 2023 of the kitchen in the Paxton home. Buzbee asked Wicker, “We can see that there are no work done on the counter tops, can’t we?” With Wicker answering in the affirmative. The Paxton defense attorney followed up asking, “We can see that there was no work done in the cabinetry, can’t we?” The former personal assistant again responding in the affirmative.

Former Ken Paxton assistant Andrew Wicker is shown pictures of Paxton's home in Austin in 2020 and 2023.

Last week The National Pulse reported that another star witness for the prosecution against Paxton admitted to defense attorney Mitch Little that upon closer examination, many of the articles of impeachment appeared to have no basis in fact. Ryan Vassar, a former aide in the Attorney General’s Office, also admitted to Little that he had reported Paxton to the FBI with no actual evidence.

Not suggesting Paxton as pure as the driven snow, of course he isn’t. But then, what politician is. He was obviously singled out for a reason.

The Texas House of Representatives has a large (86-64) Republican majority. 86 Republicans, and only 23 voted against this impeachment. Either Texas has gone full RINO, or there is far more going on here. So, What IS the reason he was "singled out" by a majority in his own party? I'm not a Texan, so have not really followed this case...

>> So where does he go to get his (tarnished) reputation back?

No worries. Real Texans love and appreciate Ken Paxton. We all know that the “tarnish” is just vandals’ watercolor paint. It’ll buff right out. 😉

He creamed George “Pee” Bush last election. I predict he’ll do even netter next time he runs.

You were lucky.
Many of us were treated as less than human by family, close friends and fellow congregants.
Even by police and pastors.

Several of the House accusers were previously considered very dedicated conservatives, like Briscoe Cain of suburban Houston. I guess he chose this case to turn RINOism.

It’s amazing the double standard. For a democrat, an affair is a badge of honor. For a republican, you are the lowest scum of the earth.

It's not really a double standard, nor is it the "soft bigotry of lowered expectations". It's simply a truth that people know that Democrats are amoral, self-serving, and mentally ill, and that people have no expectations of them beyond that.

And he was going after big pharma and that is not allowed. If one really goes after them then all the payoffs to both sides of the aisle will be made public and the deep state can’t abide that.

Yes, very good point. I had read that was so.

Pfizer is powerful. Maderna is a one success company and I think they are toast.

There is absolutely no way I will take a mRNA based vaccine. Period.

Never have and never will.

I have though about that. It would in fact totally torch the Left.

We need a MAGA Bolt of Daylight Disinfectant in DC.

The Globalist Bushies wanted George P Bush (Jeb Bush’s son) to be the AG. Paxton beat him in the primary.

They are in fact behind this.

Sure sounds like a whole lot of Criminal Fraud and Perjury has taken place in this inquisition, I sure hope Paxton empanels a Grand Jury the day he is acquitted and INDICTS ALL OF THEM and sends them all to Prison for a long long time for INSURRECTION

Either Texas has gone full RINO, or there is far more going on here.

It shows the sorry club mentality of our elected officials. There was a late night session and Phelan showed up drunk and Paxton called him out on it. So, out of loyalty to the drinking club, the sorry republicans piled on.

And, these sorry republicans are selling out ALL of their integrity. Paxton prevented the vote steal attempts in 2020 - yes, the same Georgia/Pennsylvania/Michigan/Wisconsin/Arizona vote steal method was attempted in Texas - but Paxton shut it down.

Because he called out RINO Speaker of the House, Dave Phelan, for OBVIOUSLY presiding over the House while BLITZED DRUNK! And he continues to drive a very Conservative agenda in his AG position...and he has been EFFECTIVE against Biden!

As RED as Texas is, our Capital (Austin) and all the large populous cities (Dallas, Houston, San Antonio, El Paso, Ft. Worth, etc., are blue, Blue, BLUE! And usually, some spineless POS RINO gets with the Democrat House Members and just enough Republican House Members to vote them into Speaker of the House, and all the newly elected Speaker has to do is agree to give away a few Committee Chairmanships to Democrats, in a House of Representatives with 86 Republicans and only 67 Democrats!!! This is why our State Legislature agenda isn’t more RED! It is PURE EVIL!

Especially this too! Harris County, basically Houston, elections coordinator was putting up illegal drop boxes (and in Texas law, all drop boxes had to be videotaped and/or manned, these were not), allowed drive-thru voting, allowed 24-hour voting although State law had limitations...everything they SUCCEEDED doing in the other states, Paxton watched and shut them down on a regular basis - the Democrats and RINOs HATE Paxton for not giving the Democrats a “big state” win, which would have covered for all the other anomalies with those swing-state shenanigans!

If they had “won” Texas, then all the other stuff would not have even been looked at! But because they were unable to break the rules, change the rules, and massage the rules into submission in Texas their illegal activities elsewhere stood out like SORE THUMB!!
