UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE WEEKLY CLAIMS SEASONALLY ADJUSTED DATA In the week ending September 9, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 220,000, an increase of 3,000 from the previous week's revised level. The previous week's level was revised up by 1,000 from 216,000 to 217,000. The 4-week moving average was 224,500, a decrease of 5,000 from the previous week's revised average. The previous week's average was revised up by 250 from 229,250 to 229,500.

since there are millions of them here now, are the illegal migrants included in the unemployed numbers?
are they being paid unemployment benefits now? or are the being paid from social security?
is their health care paid from medicaid?
Not really sure how you revise the moving average downward when the previous week and this week showed increases.
It will be revised up next week.
Pay no attention to statistics older than yesterday.
