A young migrant has told of his unshakeable determination to cross the English Channel after walking for two years from his home in Afghanistan to Calais.
Amin Khan, 20, spoke to the Daily Express at the "Afghan jungle" a rudimentary camp on waste ground close to the town's general hospital.
The site is home to many different "jungles", camps of naturally segregated ethnic groups living apart to reduce the risk of violent clashes.
Khan has been in Calais for a month and is penniless but hopes to grab a free ride on a migrant boat heading for the UK, at the risk of a beating from smugglers if he is discovered.
He succeeded in getting aboard a boat three weeks ago but it sank just offshore. He was rescued by French authorities who returned him to the coast.
Khan left his home in Kunar, Afghanistan in August 2021 after the Taliban regained control of the country.
Due to a dispute with his family, the Taliban kidnapped Khan's uncle and burned his business to the ground.
Khan was their next target:" I just disappeared. My parents do not hear from me but they can hope that I am alive. If the Taliban take me they will know that I am dead."
He said: "If I go home to Afghanistan I lose my life.
"If I claim asylum in France they will deport me to Bulgaria which is the first country I entered the EU. They will tell me to claim asylum there.
"Bulgaria does not want any migrants in the country. They will refuse me asylum and the police will beat me and any other migrant they see, to force us to leave.
"In the UK I will be given papers more easily than in Europe."

It’s just not sustainable in terms of development: schools, housing, public services etc.

I think the root cause of this is woke/leftist/international socialistic dogma has taken over the leadership classes of the West.
All that matters is the state as individualism not only isn’t relevant it doesn’t exist. So all cultures are the same, all people’s are the same, no government is better than any other (except those that dont want to belong to this “New World Order”). They disbelieve that some people’s have different educational levels and inherent IQ averages, crime rates , understanding of Western Values whatever.
It seems to be a local business dispute. Afghanistan is about the size of California.
Memorize passages of the Koran about mercy, forgiveness and not harming innocents.

And, as long as they don’t bother the USA or their neighbors, no one is going to aid him with weapons or other means.
But, if he wants to migrate, he should convert from Islam and give up his mindset.
And with a GDP per capita already lower than Mississippi's, what could possibly go wrong at this point?
Will soon also have a racial make-up similar to that of Mississippi's.
