In December 2016, Musk had a private meeting with Trump, during which he was “baffled” by the then-president-elect’s comments about Tesla and NASA.
“He seems kind of nuts,” Musk said after the meeting, according to Isaacson, “but he may turn out okay.”
On the contrary: Musk “concluded that Trump as president was no different than he was as a candidate,” Isaacson wrote. “The buffoonery was not just an act.”
“Trump might be one of the best bullshitters ever,” Musk told Isaacson. “If you just think of Trump as a sort of con-man performance, then his behavior sort of makes sense.”
... Musk told Isaacson that Trump should remain banned from Twitter if he was “engaged in criminal activity” — and even said he believed Trump was.
“I want to avoid the bullshit disputes about Trump,” Musk said. “If he’s engaged in criminal activity — it seems increasingly that he has — that’s not okay.”
“It’s not free speech to subvert democracy,” Musk said.
Then one day, in a “feisty mood” according to Isaacson, Musk posted a poll asking if Trump should be reinstated. The poll was close but the ayes had it, and Musk promised to reinstate the former president.
“I’m not Trump’s fan,” Musk told Isaacson that day. “He’s disruptive. He’s the world’s champion of bullshit.”

Well, I wasn’t sure how the heck I felt about Musk.
I just had an ephinay...the guy is a JERK.
Unless he comes out and says he never said that.
We all know how “Books that Reveal” can sometimes be BS.
Here is why Trump never appreciated Musk :
Elon Musk has made several comments about China, which I as an anti-communist don’t appreciate at all. So Trump’s is right here.
Musk said that “China in the long term will be our biggest market, both where we make the most number of vehicles and where we have the most number of customers”.
Musk called himself “kind of pro-China” and said Beijing was willing to work on global artificial intelligence (AI) regulations as part of “team humanity”.
Musk said that growing US-China tensions should concern everyone and that US and China are like “conjoined twins”.
Musk praised China’s “vitality and promise” and declared he will expand his business there.
Musk said he expects China to produce “some very strong companies” because of the country’s workforce.
SO... Musk is Pro-China.
While Trump started an comic war against China.
Thus, those two men can’t get along for many seconds.
While Trump started an ECONOMIC war against China.
Sorry for the typo previously.
Trump never started that war. But he aimed to finish it.
The last thing Tesla wants is cheap gas. Musk sees Trump as a problem to the EV empire.
Elon Musk needs to read a history of the French Revolution and a history of the Russian Revolution. Trump’s opponents are not JFK Democrats. They are serious radical leftists.
If and when they gain complete power, they will deal with folks like Musk swiftly and decisively.
“ Isaacson is a liar.”
My thought was who is Isaacson, and he’s probably making it up.
They are two different men.
Trump lives in the spotlight.
Musk is an engineer.
Engineers don’t really care much for those in the spotlight.
Trump is not a con-man
Trump is a showman.
If you need a Gideon, raise up a Gideon..
If you need a showman, raise up Donald Trump..
show*man: a person skilled in dramatic or entertaining presentation, performance, or publicity.
Musk is entitled to his opinion. I also want to hear those words myself before I would give any credence to a book, especially one being pushed by Mediaite.
What was it that Musk demanded from Trump when he was President and didn’t get?
Says the guy who is under investigation for interferring in Ukraine's effort to start a nuclear holocaust by turning off Starlink, for refusing to hire "asylum" seekers into sensitive positions requiring US citizenship - and it seems increaslingly likely he did these things and that's not ok [oh wait....]
If the irony is lost on Musk then he is not as smart as folks think he is.
Before he ran for I never knew anything about Trump. So I got “The Art of the Deal” which he wrote about his life. I’m a reader and I came away with a good feeling about Trump, He is a Nasasist and knows it. Ge was raised Presbyterian (he knows the Bible), He loves building and reshaped downtown NYC. He is not selfish. He loves people {hince the rallies). He is stubborn and knows what he is doing. He is very generous, even overly so sometimes. I folded his book and went to watch him run for President, and I saw the man I learned to love. Trust him folks. Trust him. He knows what the war is about and we need him.
Trump also improved some things, while falling far short of perfection.
If you don't expect perfection from Trump, why expect it from Musk?
When their bad points start weighing as much as their Democratic opponents' bad points.

Musk and Trump are two peas in a pod, honestly. They’re both smart. And they’re both nuts.
“ The Musk fanboy crowd on here needs to eat this crow.”
The Trump fan boys aren’t going to like the Musk fan boys.
Dang, Trump must have grabbed Elon’s pussy.
