“Be careful with Spahalski, Mr. Morgan,” warned the prison guard as I prepared to meet one of New York’s most infamous serial killers. “He’s a very dangerous man. He once broke out of handcuffs with his bare hands.”
As I tried to imagine just how strong you’d have to be to do that, Robert Spahalski was led into the small interview room. He’s a tall, very muscular man and radiated quiet, deadly menace.
His crimes were particularly heinous and unsettling because he repeatedly murdered people — at least four, probably more — whom he knew, including sexual partners and neighbors, in sudden explosions of extreme violence because they “triggered” him.

Same here. A revolver I’ve shot a lot within my arm’s reach.
For CCW, I now usually carry a Glock 27. 9 rounds of 40 S&W, good sights and OK to conceal. I’m totally confident in my J-frame at closer ranges, but the sights on it...
I think you have to make serial killers afraid.

Wrong. What you have to make them is dead at the first opportunity.
These animals should be executed in a painful manner within 24 hours of conviction.

She’s blonde and Wayne was killed trying to rape and kill a blonde.
There’s a book out about Wayne, TO KILL AND KILL AGAIN.
The last chapter of the paperback version says that Wayne wanted to kill the boyfriends of a group of girls at our high school.
I was one of those boyfriends.
I carry some Survivor’s Guilt in that maybe I could have goaded Wayne more in that hallway so that he would have pulled that Bowie knife on me.
May he rot in hell.
