Someone in charge of the microphone turned off President Joe Biden’s mic during his press conference in Vietnam Sunday as Biden began to ramble.
Biden was asked about the fact that he had not spoken to Chinese President Xi Jinping in 10 months and whether he thought that would destabilize U.S.-China relations.
Biden stated he had met with China’s “number two person in India today,” segued to saying sympathetically of Xi, “he has his hands full right now because of rampant unemployment among China’s youth,” before veering off, “I don’t know about you, but I’m going to bed.”
He started to ramble, “We talked about stability, we talked about the Third World, excuse me, the Southern Hemisphere has access to change. It wasn’t confrontational at all” before his mic was cut off and White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced, “Thank you, everybody. This ends the press conference. Thanks, everyone.”
Earlier in the press conference, Biden admitted, “I’ll just follow my orders here. Staff, is there anybody that hasn’t spoken yet?” He then turned to the reporters, declaring, “I ain’t calling on you.”
Biden also attacked those who dispute the climate change narrative, calling them “lying dog-faced pony soldiers.” He stated:
“My brother, he loves famous lines from movies that he always quotes. One of them is there’s a movie about John Wayne, he’s an Indian scout, and there trying to get one of the tribes of America back on the reservation, and they’re on their horses and their saddles, and there are three or four Indians in headdresses and the Union solider basically saying ‘We’ll take care of you, everything’ll be good,’ and the Indian looks at John Wayne and points to the Union soldier and says, ‘He’s a lying dog-faced pony soldier.'”
“Well, there’s a lot of lying dog-faced pony soldiers out there about global warming,” Biden continued. “But not anymore. All of a sudden, they’re all realizing it’s a problem.”
Biden has used that story before, in 2018, talking about North Dakota GOP Senator Kevin Cramer, and again in 2020 at a campaign event in New Hampshire, when he called a young woman the same thing.
Although Biden has repeatedly used that story, there has not been any conclusive evidence of such a scene. Slate pointed out in February 2020 that the story is possibly a conflation of one John Wayne movie in which a Native American chief calls Tyrone Power a “pony soldier,” saying he’s lying, and another in which a narrator calls Wayne and members of the U.S. cavalry “Dog-faced soldiers.”
LOL - Karine is now one of the “thank-you” ladies. Those women who anxiously end press conferences when Robinette starts gibbering, by saying “Thank you! The conference is over! Thank you! Thank you!” in daycare center tones as they frantically herd people out of the room.

The wife and I had to watch the presser...sort of like not being able to not look at a car wreck when driving by.
That must mean that ESPN is calling the shots.
This was far worse than a freeze up...and it was on the world stage...not at a mere press conference...but of course it can’t be used against Republicans so it will not be as big a news story.

IMHO, she would actually be better than Biden. She would not allow herself to be controlled by anybody. Yeah, she would make some goofy decisions all on her own, but she would still be alert for any emergencies.....................
Something else to keep in mind: These incidents are not limited to Biden's appearances in a public setting in front of the cameras. Just imagine what these world leaders witness once they are behind closed doors in meetings with Biden, where there are no cameras to record his behavior.
Dementia doesn’t get better, as Biden is proving daily.
Yes, and at the rate he’s going he will be totally incapacitated in six months..................
I would argue that he is just about there, he is so "protected" by staff and media I'm sure what we see is his good days.

Hardly leader of the free world
Hardly a leader of any kind
Hardly able to navigate the world around him
Hardly able speak coherently
Hardly able to function autonomously
Hardly a word from the Left about it, or necessary action taken.
If Biden weren’t in Government, he’d be in a nursing home...............
