Liberty Safe, which describes itself as “America’s #1 heavy-duty home and gun safe manufacturer,” has come under fire after a report revealed that its parent company has donated almost half a million dollars to pro-gun control Democratic officials.
On Wednesday, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk shared FEC filings on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, that show Liberty Safe’s parent company, Monomoy Capital Partners, has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats.
“I pulled the FEC reports on the company and found approximately $400,000 over the last 10 cycles of max donations to Democrats,” Kirk wrote.

“Liberty Safe’s current CEO, Justin Hillenbrand, was a founding partner of Monomoy and donated $4,600 to Obama for America,” Kirk added.
In a news release Monomoy Capital issued announcing its acquisition of Liberty Safe in 2021, it called the move “another great example of Monomoy partnering with a branded, market leading, consumer products manufacturer that has garnered an enthusiast customer base throughout the company’s history.”
...
Among the many donations listed, the most notable were to Democratic Sens. Raphael Warnock of Georgia, John Fetterman of Pennsylvania and Mark Kelly of Arizona, and former Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes of Wisconsin – all of whom have expressed support for gun control.

Talk about shooting themselves in the own foot.
“Liberty Safe’s current CEO, Justin Hillenbrand”
Guess we should have known from the start, given his first name.
It’s almost like another bowl of Cheetos for Glenn Beck.
Looks like the anti 2A crowd couldn’t ban guns fast enough, instead will buyout 2A aligned manufacturers for better control of the gun, ammo and accessories market.
WOW!!
Just W O W !!!!
More illegal acts by the government like when the feebies tell/told Twitter and Facebook what to post, or don’t post.
can the customer sue?
liberty safe
the bud light of gun safes
I guess it happens everywhere.
Company starts out. Does good things. Goes public and is forced to hire a snake or they sell out so they can head to the beach and early retirement.
And it seems that the people who take over always seem to be Leftists.
Is there a way to reprogram or replace the locks? Perhaps remove serial number?
“Liberty Safe”. It sounds so conservative. So freedom loving. So patriotic.
Sort of like “Black Rifle Coffee Company” another leftist owned company.
Apparently the Fed’s say they had a warrant.
But that is going to be interesting. Liberty sold the safe. They no longer had rights to it or possession.
I guess the question to be answered is….what right did they have in assisting the Fed’s over the ownership of the safe?
If they had a say in opening the safe then who really owned it?
Look at how Apple is with their phones.
Of course, if roles were reversed and the Fed’s went after a liberal, lawyers would be lined up across the state and protesters would be assaulting Liberty offices.
But those in the Right don’t have that kind of backup.
I think you will see a class action suit due to the manufacturers own paperwork saying no combinations are saved by the company once you purchase the product.
Can’t trust anyone now days.
Exactly!!
👍🏼
You can. At additional cost to the owner. Why should they have to do that?
Well, I was laughed at when I told about my new safe from Harbor Freight. Get a Liberty Safe, they said. It is Bullet Proof, they said. It is Fire Proof, they said.
Mine is still Stasi proof.
Dang it, I was just gonna say the same thing. LOL :-)
Isn’t one of the larger issues here is why is the FBI allowed to disable a homeowners security system?
Where in the search warrant and criminal procedure is that allowed?
