So, let me get this right…the writer (who was homeschooled but now plays for the statists) is unhappy that parents are getting involved in what’s taught in public schools.
But many of these “right-wing” parents would leave the public schools (and, in theory, let her kind continue the attendant indoctrination activities) to homeschool.
That should make the statists happy…no more uppity parents at school board meetings.
But noooooo!
The angle here, is the use of rare abuses in HSing as a human shield to push for regulation. I bet Ms Stroop’s head would go full Linda Blair if we mentioned the medical carnage rampant in “legal” abortion as a means to regulation.
They don’t care about kids. The only thing that’ll make Them happy is control across every educational platform.

They are concerned about extremist Americanists.
King George and his lackies felt the same way.
Parents wanting total control over kids. When did American citizens grant such powers to the government? Not there unless without consent.

The left exploits shootings by maniacs to promote “common sense” gun regulation. It’s not particularly creative to reuse the strategy to push for regulation of home schoolers and Christian schools.

The book-banning right’s current moral panic over LGBTIQ inclusion . . . The concern is the immoral left's push for 'inclusion' of children and animals in the perverted sexual behavior of segments of the LGBTIQ-(X) community.

going to be REAL interesting when the proverbial shoe is on the other foot and the public school system is a fully right wing juggernaut of indoctrination that weeds out and re-educates any child that shows the slightest leftist inclination. “the social order is like a pendulum swinging one way and then the other and always swinging just a little farther each time” L.Star

The author of the "Right-wing extremism means homeschooling surge in US should concern us all" article is Chrissy Stroop. Chrissy has a gofundme account collecting funds to help her change her gender. re: https://www.gofundme.com/f/help-with-chrissy039s-gender-transition-costs
Her soul and those like her need deliverance from satanic bondage and lies. Pray for Chrissy and those believing they need to change their gender - that they may be delivered from destroying their life and the lives of others.

But the loudest and most influential voices in American homeschooling are clearly motivated by the desire for absolute power and control over their children…it would help if those who homeschool for the right reasons would organise and advocate for reasonable regulations to protect homeschooled children from miseducation and abuse. They should go after the public schools first for protecting kids from miseducation and abuse.
Of course parents have control over their kids. It’s their right and responsibility. Who else do they think should have that right? As if I need to ask.
THEM????
This is the mindset we are up against.

In Christian schooling and homeschooling communities, parents discuss which objects they can beat their children with to inflict considerable pain without leaving the kind of marks that could get them reported to Child Protective Services (CPS), a part of the government hardcore “parental rights” advocates believe should not exist. Many prefer industrial glue sticks. That’s absolutely absurd. There are no discussions of that sort. When we homeschooled our children it was simple. We just used the same things to beat our children that our parents beat us. /s
