Mrs DB and I homeschooled. We were in co-ops. I can guarantee you, that many HSd kids aren’t distinguished honor roll material.
Fair enough, many studies show homeschoolers testing better. That’s great.
But homeschooling doesn’t hinge on a utilitarian analysis. Indeed, if homeschooled kids were, on average, testing poorer than their public schooled peers, it STILL wouldn’t matter.
Homeschooling is about the plenary rights of parents over their child’s education.
What I WILL say about the less bright homeschooled kids, is that they’re INDEPENDENT. And THAT is a problem for Them.
