Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) refuses to step down as Senate minority leader after recently suffering a concussion and two subsequent incidences where he appeared to freeze.
“I have no announcements to make on that subject,” McConnell said during a press conference on Wednesday.

He is working on poster boy status for campaign to get rid of term limit
Excuse me…if Mitch has to step down (and there’s a dem gov in Ky who will go against the law there to appoint another democrat), then everyone else has to step down….Pelosi, Feinstein, Fetterman, and last but not least is Slow Joe
Mitch is NOT the decider as to his tenure.......
He is working on poster boy status for campaign to Establish term limits in congress. The way congress established term limits on the presidency
Of course he does. These power craving pols preach on the virtues of their government and ignore the lessons of our foundering fathers Like Washington or historical figures like Cincinnatus who gave us the model of civic virtue in regards to power.
Mitch can step down from leadership and remain a Senator—the Democrats have several vegetables currently serving....
Btw in his latest press conference Mitch had this to say....
(one minute passes)
....
;-)
Look on the bright side—when Mitch is silent he is not lying...
;-)
These people would rather do this than ph—k.
poor mitch.
All that chinese money and he can’t do a damn thing about avoiding his coming dirt nap. No one can escape.
It’s telling that MSM is terrified that worthless Mitch will be gone. He has become a full blown rat collaborator and they don’t want to lose him
What, and have a RAT governor replace him? No deal!
Get him a couple of right-policy-committed assistants to guide him day to day, until a “R” governor is in control.
You know, like what the RATs are doing with Joe and lefty advisers.
It's in the hands of the voters and our dear Lord.
John Kennedy for GOP Senate Leader.
“Virtue” and “virtue signaling” are totally different concepts. Mitch is signaling that “Nobody gonna push us old curmudgeons around, we do what we want!” Like that were some kind of virtue.
Probably a good 20% or more of our elected legislative members are well beyond their expiration dates, and have grown stale and moldy. Another 30% are on the verge of achieving that status.
Reminds of a line from a very old Woody Allen movie (paraphrased):
He is trying to seduce a hot woman and he says to her “What the politicians are trying to do to us is what I want to do to you...”
> The way congress established term limits on the presidency <
When that amendment was passed, the current president (Harry Truman) was exempt. Only future presidents were affected.
That’s the only way Congress will accept term limits. Current members must be exempt - as unpleasant as that may be.
He stopped Garland from getting on SCOTUS and paved the way for ACB and Kavanaugh. Mitch can stay as long as he wants.
