Now it’s just spitting off and on, but it did leave 2/10 in the gauge.
Such weird weather.
Then and now...great picture, luvie. Thanks!
Oooooo! What a gorgeous eagle!
Howdy, luvie.
You find the coolest images. Love this one!
Weird weather, indeed! A little while ago it was raining at Lake Hood and the way the raindrops were falling, they looked like snowflakes! Made me do a double-take. LOL
At least you got some decent rain. It all adds up.
It looks like I barely got 1/100 of an inch today. LOL
It’s one of my favorites!
Hey there, radu!
Thank you. I love the contrast of young and old. It’s like we all stay young in our minds, but they have special memories. This picture really represents that.
The more I think about it, I’ve either seen it before or one similar. The one I saw was the same group of soldiers, back then and now.
Either way, it’s a fabulous pic.
I hope you’re cooling off a little quicker tonight than you did last night.
A little cold front is moving through tonight. Temps will only be a few degrees cooler the next few days but the humidity will be a lot lower. That makes a big difference. If feels nice right now - - cool with a nice little breeze. Ragweed won’t let me sit outside to enjoy it very long or open windows though. Pooey.
It’s going to be 100 or higher till after Sunday. Next Tuesday going forward the temps are supposed to reach the mid-80s. Near 70 at night. I can hardly wait! And maybe even rain. I’m not holding my breath. I’ve heard that too many times that ended up being bombs.
Darn ragweed. It’s a real shame you can’t go sit out there and enjoy the cool breeze. Phooey is right!
I knew it was gong to be hot through the weekend but I hoped it was cooling off a little earlier tonight than last night. It stayed hot way too late.
I hope they’re right about next week! That will be delightful for y’all! That’s pretty much what we’ll have the rest of this week, though our lows will be in the low 60s after tonight.
I think my sneezing is over now. Five minutes on the patio was enough time for ragweed to wreak havoc on my sinuses. LOL
Yesterday at Wichita Ridge:
How's everyone doing this morning?
My allergies have been off the wall, too. Makes me wonder what they’re doing with the cotton growing north of us. Any little breeze from that direction, and my sinuses go nuts.
I hope those forecasts come true. Lower temperatures and rain at the same time? Heaven. I know that you know what I mean!
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Yay! You and Gizmo were able to head out for some fun yesterday! He sure looked happy about it.
Could be the cotton up there is blooming for all it’s worth. I feel for ya.
Though I’m sure there are others, I only drive past one small field on the way to and from the museum. He planted late and it’s just started blooming.
Ragweed is everywhere and is wearing all of us out right now.
Keeping all appendages crossed that your forecast for next comes true. Y’all really need the break!
I think the only time I experienced ragweed was when we took a trip to Missouri to see hubby’s relatives. That was also the year they harvested the corn right across the road and I thought I was gonna die. I feel your pain. Have your farmers harvested their corn or soybeans yet?
Ugh, ragweed and corn at the same time. You got the double-whammy that trip.
Harvesting has started here yet but it won’t be long. It’s going to be another long, drawn-out harvest like last year because planting was so spread out. I hope we get some more rain so we don’t eat as much dust as last year. We really needed some rain here today but we didn’t get it. Dusty’s soybeans are putting out their pods now and the itty bitty beans need water now.
Good morning, E...((HUGS))...Gizmo sure enjoyed his adventures at Wichita Ridge. Lots of things to see and do.
You boys have a great Thursday.
Hope you get some rain soon. To puff up the bitty beans and also to settle a lot of dust and ragweed ick.
I’m so tired tonight, I think I’ll head to the barn now. Yeah, it’s way late, but I got caught up in a show as usual. See ya Saturday. Hope the museum has some cool guests this weekend!
They say there’s a slight chance for rain this weekend but I don’t know if they mean here or elsewhere in the state. The west side has been getting the lion’s share this week and we’ve gotten none here. Well, I did get that tiny shower this afternoon - - a whole 1/100 of an inch. LOL
Sleep well. Catch ya Saturday.
